Wow! My daughter and I stayed here for a couple of days and it was just heavenly. From the warm welcome, till the last hearty breakfast, every little detail was fabulous. The Nut Roast was a vegetarian's dream meal, the cats were fabulous, the beds were so comfortable and the bathroom was the cleanest I have ever seen. I would...

On returning home to Brecon this restaurant is a must. Once again the food was fabulous, with Joy accommodating my beef with a portion of crackling ! All three courses were extremely well presented and tasted great. The whole ambience of not being rushed, personal attention to each guest makes this place extra special. I'm not sure how you keep...

We booked a table this evening at short notice and they were able to accommodate us which was great as it's just a short walk from our B&B. We were spoiled for choice with the menu as everything sounded great. They gave us a free appetiser while we waited. We chose sirloin steak and rack of lamb. Both were cooked...

There were ourselves and another couple for dinner, the restaurant seats about 16 so there is no crush and it is not hectic. Most of us had the King Pawns starter which was excellent, one friend had the duck starter which he enthused about. Two of our group had Guinea fowl for main course, I had fillet steak in a...

We stayed over a weekend with friends, Joy looked after our every need and Doug looked after the kitchen, they just never stopped. The rooms we stayed in were newly converted very modern rooms with beautiful en suite bathrooms, the décor was carefully chosen, linen was John Lewis and everything about them was quality. We had two lovely meals and...

Attended the restaurant for a special birthday meal and we were not disappointed. Joy made us extremely welcome and the roaring log burner in the corner of the restaurant set a nice warm ambiance. The restaurant is very small with room for only about 20 dinners. I think that is what makes it special as Joy and the waiters have...

Hubby and I stayed at The Travellers for one night in the Studio with daughter and son-in-law having an en-suite room. Both rooms were clean and tidy and adequate for a one night stay. The attraction to this establishment has got to be the lovely food and the owners who go out of their way to make your stay as...

Many thanks for choosing to stay at our Travellers Rest and for taking time to write your review about which I would like to respond. Firstly your comments on our cuisine make the effort worth while. Thank you. Secondly, location we can do little about though we and our other travellers give it very high points but obviously this is...

Spent 2 nights here as a family using the Studio and 1 of the ensuite rooms. How nice it is to have them as separate access to the main building and your own patio area, that overlooks a lovely garden. The owners were very welcoming and helpful. We could not fault the breakfast, which started with a platter of fruit,...

Chose to stay here for a long weekend as we were walking in the area. Couldn't have picked a more perfect location. The hospitality was excellent and the food like wise. If you choose to stay somewhere else make sure you visit for an evening meal as you will not be disappointed! Will return soon!!
