Although the high transit area in the hotel looked tired could do with a lick of paint in some point. I found the room, very clean, tidy and comfortable. Staff friendly and helpful. Food were very nice. We had a 1 or 2 small issues but these were rectified by the staff quickly. A couple of members of staff came... More

Stayed one night at the Wellington, basic room but clean. Staff were pleasant, food was good and a reasonable price. Managed to park right outside the front door. I don't normally stop in this type of Hotel, but was good if you are looking for a decent hotel on a budget.

Our stay was for one night...thankfully. we were asked for payment, given the keys and made our way up the stairs to the top floor. The building is old and creaky which is what you would expect but the dust and dirt is old too. Everywhere you looked there was dust, dirt and the high level cleaning is really bad. The... More

We only stayed one night but found the Wellington to be good value and right in the centre of Brecon. Public parking available only but that's what you get in the centre wherever you are. We managed to park on the hour slot outside which is fine after 6pm and before 8am, otherwise there is public parking about 200 metres... More

We had a lovely time staying at the Wellington! The food is good here, rooms were clean and tidy, staff friendly and it's in a really pretty place. Really enjoyed our visit! We just had a few minor issues which is why I have not given it 5/5. The toilet flush in our en-suite broke which was a bit annoying,... More

The staff were friendly enough and the food adequate. The room was accessed via a steep staircase. Our room door did not lock properly and was coming off its hinges. The room was clean and in a fair state of repair. There was also an unnerving 3" gap under the fire door to the top of the stairs.

The food here was great. There were three people in our party and we had steak, ham & eggs and fish. Every single meal was cooked to perfection. The place itself could do with a little tlc and the toilet facilities are in need of updating but, nevertheless, we will still be going back there. We did not stay at... More

We had a voucher for this hotel so we only paid £50 for a double room on a Sunday night. The room was fine, clean with a small but adequate bathroom. If I booked again i'd ask for a room at the front of the hotel as you can hear a fan running until quite late at the back of... More
