On a trip to Snowdonia recently we visited the tearoom. It was so good we had to return a second time. Delightfully quaint with an eclectic mix of souvenirs from the owners' travels, the atmosphere is warm and inviting. We choose a selection of teas and savoury/sweet items. Everything was delicious. The Welsh rarebit was particularly good but the cheese...

Whilst staying in Rhydd Ddu recently we visited this lovely little tearoom, highly recommended for is Dutch pancake menu. Terrific people who run it, very friendly and welcoming, would highly recommend a visit. We can't comment on B & B as we were staying elsewhere.

We arrived here on a bank holiday to meet people from the steam train, I had not been here before. It was all so pleasant and welcoming. We ordered the homemade lemonade for 4 people and had plenty with water to dilute for at least 8 glasses , we then went on to order pancakes of various types ( so...

First stop in our ridge walk from Nebo to Conwy. Not many places to stay on the road, so more or less an obliged stopover. But this one merits a special mention nevertheless. Admittedly the rooms are not spacious and bathroom on the share, the welcome was spartan, but kind. The breakfast served in the cosey tearoom was the best...

I was amazed when I got back to my hotel to read the 3 awful reviews... Four of us dropped by and had amazing service and wonderful food - a really pleasant surprise to find Poffertjes as traditional and tasty as the ones in Bongers in Rotterdam plus delicious home made Speculaas and the best Welsh cakes ever !! We...

We have had afternoon tea and lunch here a few times ( and loved it) but this is the first time we stayed. We were given a very warm welcome and the breakfast was gorgeous. I loved the banana pancake. Being offered two hand made welsh cakes fresh and still hot as we left was a nice touch as well....

My husband and I recently spent two nights at Ty Mawr and really enjoyed our stay. We had the en suite room which is very spacious and comfortable with an excellent shower. Both in our room and the tearoom were fascinating artefacts that Emma and Menno had brought back from their travels. The breakfast menu is very extensive, those Dutch pancakes...

I treated a friend to a Birthday meal in Ty Mawr yesterdat-28.8.15 and was frankly disgusted with the service. We waited a very long time before we were even acknowledged, a brusque unfriendly man took our order. I leaned on the table to speak to my friend and my sleeves were soaked through with drinks slopped on the table from...

This was our third visit to Ty Mawr and everything was as good as previously. We had the en-suite room, which is very spacious, well equipped, clean and tidy although perhaps the bed is a little hard! Breakfast is always extensive with a wide choice of dishes from the Full Welsh through to Dutch pancakes with a selection of fillings....

We (2 sets of couples) visited Ty Mawr on 15th July 2015 and we would certainly return. We stumbled upon the Tea room whilst driving through the village and stopped for cake and coffee. The tearoom has a wonderful eceltic decor and plenty of homemade cake for weary climbers. We noted, in addition to a great menu selection they also...
