The Royal Oak is ideally situated and has plenty of free car parking so no worries there. The highlight for us was the meal in the restaurant, it was superb and very reasonably priced. The rooms are ok, a little dated but still nice and overall not too bad. Service in the main bar area was a slow when they...

Visited the Royal Oak Hotel yesterday (16th Jan) with family who were visiting for the weekend, it was late morning so only wanted a drink and snack. Our table had the previous visitors dirty crockery, teapots etc left on it and even after we had sat there for a while looking through the menu our table still wasn't cleared or...

Returned from a brilliant two nights in the Royal Oak hotel which is located in the heart of Betws-Y-Coed. It was a last minute decision to go here as me and my partner needed a bit of a break after the Christmas rush and it didn't fail to please. The rooms were spacious enough however we didn't spend a great...

My wife and I booked for Sunday lunch in the Riverside Restaurant on the Saturday morning and, after travelling 108 miles to the restaurant on the following Sunday were told, upon arrival, 'sorry, we have made a mistake and we do not have a table for you.'

The place was very xmassy and nice and warm, we found a nice little table up the corner, perfect for us with a 3 year old.. The...

A truly amazing welcome awaited us on arrival at the Royal Oak. Fast and efficient registration with delightfully helpful staff. The original part of the hotel was clean tidy and well laid out and beautifully warm, which really was most welcome after an appalling journey in heavy rain to get there. As part of a reasonable sized party the staff...

Only just over an hour to the Irish ferry we stopped in this lovely small town. We loved this hotel which was in the centre of the town and their bistro restaurant was fantastic. Clearly has a first class chef. We will stop there every trip now.
