Great location and the rooms were practical and comfortable. We stayed in the stables attached to the hotel. The room was spacious with everything that you would expect and very clean - the bath was great following a long day walking. The reception area for the stables needs a little attention, but the hotel reception is lovely. Positioned in the...

The chef is using local ingredients, served welsh classics like rarebit))) and the menu offered good choice of dishes for every taste. For my main I had fish and chips .The portion was generous...

Have just returned with friends from a wonderful long weekend break at The Royal Oak. All the staff here are top class, nothing is too much trouble, and the food in the Grill Room was fantastic. Good standard menu then an extra choice of daily specials all served with a smile on piping hot plates. This is our 4th visit...

Stayed over a weekend. Breakfast was barely warm and unappetizing and poor quality each day. Dining room floor was had not been cleaned from night before. There were two power cuts during the stay. This hotel did not deliver.

Myself and 3 friends popped in for a late lunch. We had 2 courses, starter and main. We were all very impressed with our meals, the quality was excellent and very filling. Our waitress was friendly and helpful. The decor is lovely. We would definitely return.
