I understand that Pont-y-Pair means Bridge of the Cauldron and the hotel is situated in the very heart of Betws-y-Coed right opposite the bridge that goes over the River Llugwy. It's position is perfect for exploring Snowdonia including the famous Swallow Falls - just up the road, which is why we chose it as our base for a long weekend....

Hotel is nicely redecorated but not refurbished so parts are strange and bathrooms old. Staff are welcoming. We ate dinner there. Starters and desserts were food. Mains were expensive basic pub grub. Breakfast was good though limited times between 8-9 so that felt rushed

We booked 3 rooms for my birthday celebrations and only have good words for this hotel. The decor was a little tired, but the rooms were an incredible price which more than reflected on this. We ate at the hotel 3 out of 4 nights and had delicious meals, the specials board changing daily. Breakfast was incredible and the service...

Firstly I'd like to say that all the staff were friendly and welcoming. They are lovely and my rating doesn't relate to them in anyway! The Hotel is in a great location and has a pub attached which is good. My issues with the hotel or B&B whatever you call it is in the rooms. Now we stayed in room...

Gorgeous little b&b nestled in Betws y coed village right opposite the stunning Pont y Pair waterfalls and bridge. Wonderful service off the owners and staff, gorgeous food and a very popular little pub selling (much to hubby's delight) proper real ale. Room was lovely, more than sufficient little ensure shower and loo and the best breakfast I think I've...

We decided last minute to go Betws y Coed to go up mount Snowden on the bank holiday weekend with only one night stay. We were lucky to get the last room as most places already were booked out. Even only one night at the Pont y Pair, it was clean, comfortable and friendly. Breakfast was also good.

Can't fault this B&B, food and service was excellent. Parking limited at B&B but space in car park across bridge or around corner near the chapel. Range of choices for breakfast and bar was friendly and popular with guests of B&B and those staying at other B&B's.
