The staff is super friendly, especially the guy on reception, and we shared quite a few funny conversations - very welcoming indeed. But some of the dorm rooms feel overall uncomfortable and very crammed. This probably depends which room you have. The bathrooms are okay - as with all hostels, it depends on your fellow guests, how clean the facilities...

10 of us in our party ranging from ages 9-50. The place really suited our needs. We received a warm welcome from Neil and his team. Rooms good but bar and dining room (public areas) were even nicer. The showers need a spot of tlc but otherwise tidy and clean. Short walking distance from pubs and restaurants. Would recommend for...

I found this bunkhouse on line, and after reading some reviews, booked for an overnight stay. I was only there for one night and found the place was fine for what I wanted. I was using it as a base for exploring the local area and although it was basic, it was clean, the showers were ok, the breakfast was...

I stayed here with a family group last weekend. The position of the hostel was fine, however all was not well inside. With the Euro 2016 about to start we were disappointed to find that the TV didn't work. When we notified the lady that took charge she implied that it must have been due to something that we had...

I'll start with the positives.....this bunkhouse is set in a beautiful location, walking distance to shops, pubs and just a short drive to Mount Snowdon. Sadly, there wasn't much to sing about inside the Vagabond, in fact reading other reviews makes me wonder whether I visited the same place! To be fair the whole building could benefit from a deep...

a group of us stayed here for the duration of a walking weekend in Snowdonia. A member of our team found this bunkhouse on line and liked the reviews. We booked three nights there. The Vagabond is just off the main road half way up a hill. There is a lovely waterfall just beside the property. There are quite a...

Staying at The Vagabond was one of the best ideas I've had. The location of the Hostel is really near the train station, so you can arrive here just by walking. On the other hand, the rooms are really large, comfortable and super clean. Moreover, the staff was really lovely, they recommended places to visit, and any doubts you have...

Location, location, location, and add a great host. Rooms as expected, clean and functional, great breakfast, the sausages could be better, but am picking; am not a student. The location is key, and it is perfect, after a great day walking, the bar is perfect for like minded outdoors type. Booked up for next month! Enjoy.
