The hotel is in a lovely situation. The dining room, lounge and terrace are lovely. The bedroom corridors are dull and dingy. Our bedroom needed a facelift. The window frames rattled in the wind and the street noise came in from outside. The breakfast was good and the staff were friendly.

What a beautiful place great location, and gorgeous hotel. So friendly and helpful staff. Free parking in the hotel car park. The breakfast is delicious served in the riverside restaurant. We don't often go to the bar in a hotel, but we really enjoyed drinks last night sat in the bar, very comfortable and beautiful area and totally child friendly....

A few years ago I would have thought this was a terrific place to stay but time marches on and we all expect more for our money. The location is second to none, the terrace over the river is wonderful and the breakfast was very good too. However, the rooms badly need a refit - they could be truly wonderful...

This hotel could be such a great place as it has such a great location, our room was on the corner and had lovely big windows which overlooked the Llangollen bridge and river which is stunning, The room was a great size and the staff were so friendly and very helpful. Unfortunately that's were the good bits end the hole...

This is quite a difficult review to write really, lets start with the good bits, the staff were unfailingly polite, and nothing was too much trouble. The location is stunning. There is a car park but it is very small, if you get a space don't move, however parking outside the hotel is OK and unlimited between 6pm and 8am....

The plus points for this hotel is that it has a great location, centre of town & views across The River Dee (even if your room doesn't, there is a lovely terrace that does!) The staff are friendly & helpful. It also has its own car park. On the down side, the whole hotel is looking a bit tired, carpets...

We booked our 1 night stay a couple of days before as we were, until then, undecided on whether or not to attend the Geocaching Mega event at the Pavilion. We arrived late afternoon and checked in easily. Ventured up to our room which overlooked the river. Such stunning views. Later in the night we noticed many spiders and cobwebs...

Pleasant hotel and although a little dated it was friendly and all the staff very helpful. We arrived early and were allowed to leave our car in the hotel car park until check in time. Room was a suite and very well decorated and adorned to with furniture. Sloping floor up to the windows was funny and kept us amused....

First class view of river, perfect location for Llangollen. Friendly staff, clean rooms, best breakfast ever! First visit here and staff happy to help with directions. Only here for one night but would recommend. Old hotel and old fashioned but very clean and good for purpose. Good value and once again steaming hot fry up to start day off!

Booked to stay here for 1 night over a weekend away. Quite honestly the worst place I have ever stayed in. We thought something was strange as when we booked in we were immediately offered a discount due to our room being on the small side we were told. We trooped upstairs and once away from the reception area it...
