We went back to the Bryn Howel after a long absence. It remains the best location for any hotel in the area and the views from the dining room and the front facing rooms must be the best in Wales. We have travelled the world and never witnessed a sunset like the one we saw over Castell Dinas Bran last...

A nice hotel to arrive at, with friendly staff and and old fashioned feel. There is ample parking and it has a tremendous position right by the canal, half way between Llangollen and the Pontycsyclle Aqueduct - which they do not make best use of! The opportunity to make a super venue by the canal (bar/restaurant/cafe) is being wasted -...

We stayed at the Bryn Howell Hotel for two nights as part of a group of around 35 or so. Our room was in need of a complete makeover with badly scratched furniture, a portable tv that would only switch on and off from the socket on the wall and with no remote and limited channels. There was no telephone...

This is a Hotel in very lovely surroundings which I feel is let down by management who do not realise that guests are not mind readers. I was sitting in the restaurant when another couple came in , waited but no staff appeared so eventually sat down at a table laid for dinner. A member of staff finally appeared and...

We stayed here for 3 nights whilst visiting family in the area. The hotel was well located for Llangollen and bordered the canal. The hotel was picturesque and we very much enjoyed staying there, the staff were friendly and helpful and our room was clean and tidy. Breakfast was good and plentiful. Unfortunately, we cannot be active but for those...

Sadly this hotel is in desperate need of renovation, both public areas and rooms. The one good thing was the shower, which was really hot and powerful. Our stay was expensive and found the staff to be obstructive rather than helpful. Breakfast was very slow and poor quality, do much so that we went elsewhere the second day and forgot...

Lovely hotel in perfect setting next to the Llangollen canal. 1 guest described the wedding breakfast food as 100/10 (not a mistake, really 100/10). Couple of glitches which were immediately sorted by fab manager Lorraine. Couldn't have asked for a better day or more helpful staff.

My sister got married on Saturday 8th August and you could not have asked for better staff. They are so helpful and hard working. The building was beautiful and we were lucky to have sunshine to utilise their amazing grounds. Perfect photo opportunities for a wedding. The team were so supportive during the wedding and gave their all to make...
