Excellent place to stay, staff, food and general upkeep of the hotel excellent, if anything whilst delightful rooms a bit dark, perhaps brighter lighting but allowing dimmers to change the mood for you.--- Well done all.

I found this conveniently centrally placed hotel , ideal for my short trip. The vibe in this old establishment is warm and friendly, whilst retaining an air of efficiency. Staff are obviously well trained, friendly and VERY well led.

I'm very sorry to read this review! We actually serve the same menu in all our rooms; we have our "Shakespeare's" room, "Snug" room and "Dawson's" room. We always try and go above and beyond, sometimes mistakes are made and in this instance a group...More

Compared to hotels we stayed at in buildings several centuries older, this chain hotel has been seriously remiss in retrofitting/renovating to meet needs of 21st century guests. 1--Our room (204) had no electrical outlets anywhere near the bed area, and only two in the entire...More

Thank you for your review! I'm very sorry to read that you had an unusually poor experience with us. We do have wifi and during your stay our guest wifi was experiencing technical issues, not old building issues, it seems our team have fallen down...More
