Booked this place at the last minute as I needed a place to stay coming off the ferry in Hollyhead. The location is perfect, right across the street from the train station, and both staff members who I dealt with were pleasant and helpful, and my room was clean. The wifi was fast enough to do the job. However, I...

Nice rooms, but walls are paper thin and music was very loud downstairs. We phoned the reception at 11pm and asked if the music could be turned down as we had to be up early for work (not an unreasonable request for a Monday night), and they said the music would be going off in a few minutes and he...

Stayed here last night with a friend and our teenage daughters. We came here for the University open day and was the only hotel available - thought it was worth trying despite the bad reviews. How wrong was I?!! We paid £150 for an 'apartment' - attic room with 4 single beds and a double. Initially we thought it was...

The rubbish in the car park should have been a warning. I couldn't turn on the telly, but the young lady on reception soon got that sorted and found the missing remote control. The shower curtain fell on top of me and remained on the floor until I complained in the evening when I got in. The same lovely young...

This place is the second worst hotel I have stayed in in over 35 years. In fact they're probably breaking trading standards laws by calling themselves a 'hotel'. Reception is non-existent and the rooms are falling to pieces despite claims of being 'recently refurbished'. I booked breakfast for 7.30am but when I went down (on time) the dining room was...

One of the last things you'd like to hear after traveling for 8 hours is "I'm sorry, I don't have your reservation" followed by "We don't have a facebook-page" after you show them the actual reservation you've made through facebook. I've made the booking for 3 double rooms and 1 single room in the beginning of June - 6 weeks...

My boyfriend and I arrived at the Waverley to a completely empty reception and rather tired looking hotel. A friendly bar maid tried to help us by going to get someone and we waited until a grumpy and grubby man finally got us our key. No one welcomed us or even told us about any breakfast arrangements. The bath room...
