I stay here when I have work meetings in the area and always find it perfect for an overnight stay. I would not spend a holiday there but for a fleeting visit it is affordable and with good access to local facilities and the M5. The decor, as many reviews comment on, is very dated and overall the rooms I...

This is an old mill / factory that has been tastefully converted into a decent hotel. Probably a bit too large to consider 'boutique' but its in that style nevertheless. I arrived late and it was a last minute choice but I would happily stay again. Pity I didnt see it in daylight as it seemed quite impressive. Only downside,...

My husband and I stayed in this hotel on 30 Dec to visit family in Worcester, after coming over from Australia. We chose this hotel being near to the town for walking distance ! Upon arrival of an empty reception area found it to be lacking in any soul, absolutely no atmosphere, we checked in to find we had to...

As we live in Worcester we didn't stay overnight, albeit the overnight B&B offer including 2 tickets for the party was a brilliant deal. We just attended the party which was fantastic. They supplied Bucks Fizz on arrival (only grumble was they put ice in which killed the fizz). There were two rooms one with live music, the other with...

My Sister and I arrived early so as we could pin balloons and banners and whilst there we had lunch, fish and chips, beautiful presentation and decent fish. The afternoon went incredibly well, guest found the location and we were served a fantastic range of sandwiches, cakes, scones and tea or coffee, also a glass of bubbly, it really was...

A coach trip from Southend-on-Sea promised a Christmas to Remember. I will never forget! £495 wasted! First impressions are good, reception was bright an airy but they said that of the Titanic! Rooms were freezing cold. Ice formed on the INSIDE. This was totally unacceptable but no one was listening, the heating was on a timer apparently and, when you...

If, like me, you think a good night's sleep is a vital part of a hotel stay you might want to give Fownes a miss. OK, it's an old glove factory, but old buildings do not have to be noisy like this. Screwing down floorboards, insulating floor voids, good thick carpet underlays... lots of ways to reduce noise in the...

Booked through late rooms. First they added £5 parking which I hadn't seen in the small print. ..then told me I should have booked direct if I wanted the free parking and breakfast. Pathetic "free" WiFi that reminded me of old dial-up speeds. Dated room with "shower" fixed 3' up the wall above the bath. At least my legs are...

I can't believe no other reviewers have mentioned how cold the rooms are! We stayed on the top floor the furthest away from the lobby area. Our room was freezing I didn't sleep at all! Plus you couldn't use any hot water in the bathroom as it didn't come out properly. On a plus note the location is good and...
