We returned here for our first anniversary, having had our wedding reception here last year. Yet again we were not disappointed. The staff were attentive, welcoming and those that remembered us from the wedding stopped to chat and wish us a happy anniversary. The room was lovely, especially with the fruit and champagne left for us. The evening meal (bookended...

My boyfriend surprised me with a night at this hotel. From the outside it is difficult to make your mind up as to what to expect. Parts of the hotel are old with a slightly unsightly modern 60's bit on the side. We were really hoping that we would be in the original house. Parking is good and plenty of...

we stayed here for two nights, and staff very friendly, upon arrival was welcomed by a friendly receptionist, checked in, and given a room key. We arrived at the room, and was surprised at the spacious room, with a large superking bed, a nice seating area by the bay window, overlooking the priory and stunning Abbey , very spacious bathroom,...

My wife and I recently enjoyed a two nights stay on a Travelzoo offer at the Abbey Hotel. We were in a good sized Executive room on the front of the hotel. It was very clean and comfortable and had a view to the hills. All of the staff were professional, obliging and attentive throughout our stay. We had dinner...

I booked through secret escapes a room with 3 course meal, bottle of wine and breakfast all included as a Xmas present for my boyfriend. The hotel were very helpful in sorting out a bottle of prosecco and chocolates to be in our room upon arrival. The room was lovely, spacious and clean plus the views around the hotel were...

We visited The Abbey Hotel for a one night DB&B short stay - it is an amazing hotel. Our room was very comfortable and food good, but the thing that set this hotel apart was the friendliness and service from staff. Special thanks to Rozanna on reception, and Agnes and Stephen in the restaurant. We will be back!

We've stayed here many times before and found their latest offer for a Sunday at £109 per night DB&B irresistible. Some confusion upon arrival regarding room booked but this was resolved to our satisfaction following a trip to Reception ( we asked for a room in the 'old; section not the 'new'), Room was a good size with a nice...
