Lygon Arms was a great place to stay. This was my first visit to Broadway and I couldn't have picked a better place to stay. The Lygon Arms staff were extremely helpful and nice. We were greeted by a very polite bellhop who helped us carry our luggage to our room. We called downstairs late that night and requested room...

One of the best in the Cotswolds. Right in the middle of the village, this will be a memory you won't be able to separate into fact and fiction. Lovely room, attentive staff, real history, excellent meals. You will thank me for the recommendation you will pass on to others.

A lovely welcome in this superb hotel. A janitor helped us unload the car and then kindly parked for us in their safe carpark. Our De-luxe room had everything you would want in a 4 star hotel which had undergone a refurbishment absolutely beautiful. Pre-dinner drinks were served before dining in their Grand Hall, all excellent. There is a relaxed...

We stayed in two of the refurbished standard rooms in one of the more modern blocks at the back, which were small, but very nicely done. Generally good quality of fabrics / fixtures & fittings. Bed comfortable, water hot - everything worked, including the tablet which is a great idea......as it gives you an internet browser in addition to stuff...

We booked this hotel for a few nights stay looking for a relaxing break in the Cotswolds. The location was superb - the village of Broadway is beautiful and the hotel itself is in the process of modernising while retaining its historical heritage. We stayed in a lovely modern suite that was very comfortable and didn't lack anything. The main...

I took my mum here for a belated Mother's Day treat and a birthday treat for me, I did mention this, as I know some hotels do a little something, but nothing was provided. However it was still a lovely stay. The reception staff were very friendly and gave a brief tour of the hotel when we arrived. The room...

Warm welcome and no delay being shown to our room. Very good room - slight problem with shower but not too much of an inconvenience. Breakfast was excellent. The hotel is a mixture of old and new - the old has all of the character you might expect in a building that age - the new part is well fitted...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Imagine a hotel where roaring log-burning open fireplaces hint at its roots dating from the 1300's. Picture a Great Hall Restaurant with a vaulted ceiling and original wood panelling built in the seventeenth century. Visit a hotel that has been coloured by the characters of history. At The Lygon Arms, with its 78 rooms you can stay in the suite that King Charles I once stayed in the night before the Battles of Worcester in 1651. See the carvings of John Travis' name on the arch of the front door, etched into the hotel's history in 1620. An historic hotel in the heart of Broadway with a typically Cotswolds history. Dine in The Great Hall, Barringtons our typical all day dining brasserie or have lunch, a coffee or a Cotswold Gin and Tonic in one of our many lounges. A spa , swimming pool and The Lygon Gardens await you but most importantly the team look forward to welcoming you. . ... more   less
