My request was for a simple single dorm, and breakfast. Check in very efficient, and all my questions were answered. I even received a passcode for the front door! I received exactly as I requested at a reasonable rate. Shared bathroom. And that's quite fine as the doors have locks! Room was clean and the bed comfortable. Had a sink,...

This was lovely - welcoming people, comfortable room and a superb view of the Cathedral from the window. Excellent buffet breakfast, with a good choice. They were happy to look after my luggage the next day, too. Only real down side was a lot of noise from the pipes, both when I flushed my loo and when someone else used...

I had stayed once before when on a course at the college, but this time came for B&B for one night only. The location is superb, being in the Close, right opposite the Cathedral. It is a stunning spot, very beautiful, and also right in the centre of Salisbury with its picturesque streets, shops, restaurants, cafes etc. As I remembered...

Stopped at this accom due to taking a party south to Southampton. My boss booked this on my behalf. He booked a single room for me. When I got there I was very disappointed with this. So requested a room that had the basic requirements. Ie: a sink, shower, and toilet in the room. This cost an extra £26 which...

Thank you for taking the time to comment on your stay. Room choice is a question of priorities so it is always best to phone or email us directly to discuss your preferences. Most of our rooms are ensuite, singles are priced at £69 bed & breakfast, which is freshly cooked on-site. However as you noted, we also offer a...

Our family of 4 stayed at the Sarum College while in Salisbury. This was a great place to stay and I would definitely recommend it. The location is unbelievable, right across from the cathederal. The facilities are good but are not a luxury hotel. It was a clean, comfortable room, with a good breakfast with the rest of the college...

Thanks for your review - so pleased your family enjoyed your stay with us and being steps away from the cathedral. It is quite a privilege to be in this setting!

I was in a good size double room on the top floor at the front of the building so my view out of the window was of Salisbury Cathedral. I could never get tired of that view. The staff are extremely helpful and the food plentiful. All meals are on a self service basis with a choice of cooked breakfast,...

The College is located within the Salisbury Cathedral Close precinct. This area includes a number of special houses and museums. The grounds are simply gorgeous with a calm serenity in the rain and the sunshine. The College has a stunning view of the Cathedral spire from the front door. The staff were warm and welcoming on arrival and the on-site...

I booked this 'hotel' as I needed a base in Salisbury to visit family. The location, right next to the Cathedral is excellent. Free parking meant that I could leave my car safely and explore the city on foot. The rooms are rather like typical 'student halls' accommodation. My room had a single bed, desk and wardrobe and the en-suite...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Stay in historic buildings within the beautiful Salisbury Cathedral Close. Sarum has 40 en-suite rooms, some with stunning views of the Salisbury Cathedral and the rooftops of the Close. Rooms not used by students and conference guests are let for bed and breakfast. There are also a small number of very modest rooms with shared facilities for those on a tight budget. Sarum's central location is a five-minute walk from High Street shops, cafes and the charter market. Excellent cultural venues within the Close include Salisbury Museum and Mompesson House, while Salisbury Playhouse, Salisbury Arts Centre and dozens of restaurants and pubs lie just beyond its medieval walls. Return to the Close with your own gate key, knowing you are among the privileged few to stay in what Bill Bryson described as England's 'most beautiful space'. The train station is about a 15-minute walk away (5 minutes by taxi). Direct trains to London are about an hour and 20 minutes. ... more   less
