we only stayed for one night and we weren't really impressed. The room was average. They weren't set up for us( two adults and two young boys who don't like sleeping in the same bed) and we had to wait while the tried to set up a travel cot. The breakfast was okay, but nothing amazing. There was no alarm...

Lovely house with decent car park and nice gardens. It is in a great spot for exploring Salisbury which is easy walking distance and its on a quiet road. The rooms were comfortable with all the usual facilities. The staff were helpful but not intrusive. Breakfast was fine although not the best cooked we've had. We spent a pleasant hour...

Very clean and well decorated throughout the building. Has a very friendly atmosphere. Enjoyed the cooked breakfast, cold buffet also available. Plenty of storage space in the room, which was quiet and peaceful, comfortable bed. My fourth stay. Hope to return in 2014.

I have stayed here on at least 2 prior occasions, and always found it to be welcoming, and good value. I'm not sure if it is still under the same ownership, and whilst there it seemed to be going under a bit of a minor facelift, but it's still a very good place to rest your head if in Salisbury....

This is a most comfortable and welcoming place to stay. Barbara and her friendly team will look after you really well. The rooms are spacious, well-furnished and spotlessly clean. It is a lovely quiet setting but an easy walk into the city centre. The breakfasts are excellent, with a wide choice of cooked options and a comprehensive buffet. I would...

The guidebook said that the guesthouse was located in a beautiful Victorian house and the rooms are luxurious and comfortable. We saw the Victorian house indeed, passing through to our room all the way in the back and that room was nothing like the guide said. It lacked charm and personality and was very very small. It has all the...

Thank you for your feed back. We have a wide range of rooms to suit everyone taste. We offer the rooms on the ground floor to guests with dogs as it is easier to take them for a walk; unfortunately they are not allowed in the garden. The room you had is of a standard size with a king size...

Our stay was ok. Rooms were clean and tidy, but basic. Staff were friendly. My issue is with the effort regarding my dietary requirements. I advised I required a gluten free diet and they didn't seem to care. I was advised they would try and get something for my breakfast, however, in the morning when I went down for breakfast,...

The garden and building (circa 1886) is charming, the setting delightful, good breakfast and the hospitality was pleasant and efficient. Our room was newly refurbished and lovely, with a tiny but perfectly adequate en suite bathroom. Good location for town, with a steepish walk up the hill after dinner.

Large private guest house close to all amenities and easy walking distance to centre of Salisbury. Off road parking. Very well run, friendly and efficient. Large clean comfortable quiet room. Excellent breakfasts. Recommended.

The good bit... rooms clean, breakfast hot and buffet plentiful. The not so good bit.... decor very tired and dated, floors creaked, showers from neighbouring rooms loud so dont expect a lie in! Service very average, girl on reception scruffy even by teenager standards! Girls serving breakfast clinically efficient but not friendly. Got the impression they'd rather be somewhere else!!...

Thank you for your feedback and I am really sorry your stay with us did not meet your expectation. Byways House is more than 100 years old Victorian House and we try when possible to keep some of the original features although we are constantly undergoing refurbishment work to maintain the property. I have noted your comment regarding service at...
