Well it is in central Coventry which is what we wanted but the general feel is tired and a bit tatty. To be fair it was clean (quite an achievement considering how old the decoration / furnishings were) and just about adequate for a short overnight stay. The room was spacious with plenty of hanging space and relatively quite given...

This hotel is very tired and in need of a refurb. The food was terrible and the wait at the bar most unacceptable. Not enough seats for our dinner and we were very squashed. The staff were doing their best under very bad conditions as there was a lack of staff and a lack of coordination. Would not go again.

Stayed here for 2 nights with Majestic Holidays on 26th November for the Birmingham Xmas market,I asked for a smoking room when booking but I was given a non smoking room ,but the reception changed it straight away,no problem! The food was very good ,plenty of choice. The staff were very friendly and helpful ,just one little bugbear, when the 2 for...

Stayed here for one night at a cheap rate of £32 RO. At this price, and based on reviews on here I was expecting a whole lot worse, but was pleasantly surprised. The front of house staff were excellent; professional, courteous and helpful. It can't be easy working for a hotel with poor reviews but these guys should be proud...

Stayed here for 1 night with National holidays..after reading reviews I was dreading it to say the least. Driving up to the hotel all you can see is grey concrete buildings everywhere, dull & dirty, & the hotel right next to the bus station. On arrival the driver went into the hotel & came out with all our keys, saves queuing..Our...

In general the hotel is tired and shabby. I was on a National Holidays weekend. The arrangements for dinner were disorgnaised and confusing, it wasn't possible for friends to sit together, we were told to sit only where there was a yellow napkin, there was little choice of food, (turkey slices, sausages or mushroom stroganoff) and when the desert was...

Stayed here with national holidays on a one night stay, on arrival we didnt get key so went to reception and the helpful man behind the desk gave us one. The room still had dirty cups in the sink and unclean towels in the bathroom, we told reception and apparently our coach arrived early so the cleaning wasnt done, the...

I stayed here on a Friday evening to attend an office party and the location was perfect. Check in was quick and friendly and the staff throughout my stay were of a high standard. The hotel had upgraded me to an 'executive' room, which was clean and spacious, the double bed was comfortable, and the bathroom of a high quality,...

Stayed at Britannia hotel Coventry on a National Holidays one night stay. Wasn't looking forward to the hotel after seeing reviews but it was fine. Room 735 has nice view of the cathedral. The room was spacious and clean. The carvery main course was fresh, and a bottle of wine not bad at £9.50 a bottle. Some of the staff...

want to relive the 70's? miss the classic CRT Tvs and low quality despite not actually being very cheap. stayed once or twice as it was the last remaining hotel. most recently i received a midnight email which was completely unacceptably written saying they had intentionally overbooked our hotel and moved us to the sister hotel 8 miles outside of...
