If you are celebrating a special occasion please consider Coombe abbey. We arrived at lunchtime for an overnight stay for our 11th wedding anniversary and made our way to the garden bar for lunch and drinks before check in at 3pm. There was lots going on including a wedding, a birthday party and a festive lunch with santa but it...

Lovely period hotel, lots of beautiful features. The grounds are lovely and well kept. Our room was spacious with a lovely view over the courtyard. Comfy bed and everything you could need. Breakfast was lovely too, all the staff were very friendly. Would definitely recommend.

WOW !! What a stunning party night. One of the best Christmas parties I've ever attended. The marquee was amazing decorated in a Christmas theme, the music was brilliant, the food was fabulous and the staff were the best hosts you could ask for. I have stayed at this hotel a few times and have never been disappointed with the...

I just wanted to say a massive thank you to all the staff that made the Christmas Party night I attended on Saturday so much fun, good entertainment and piping hot food which must be difficult for the amount of people there. I also stayed over and found the bedrooms very comfortable and clean with a lovely breakfast to follow,...

Parking was a bit of a nightmare as there was a wedding and a Medieval banquet on at the same time as our company work do so we had to park in the overflow car park which was essentially a muddy field and not well lit with pot holes everywhere. We had our own private Marquee which was nicely decorated...

We attended this hotel for annual Business meeting. The venue is very different and a great place of interest. Good walk externally. Internal charming chatter but maybe a bit too dim & dark. The bedrooms were small and dark with dim lighting. It was in keep of the building but l craved more light. The food served looked good &...

A wonderful one night stay in a beautiful haven of peace and tranquility; surrounded by an amazing park (great for evening/morning run). As soon as you cross the moat to the entrance you are transported back into the history books. Every staff member I had contact with from the reception to the bar were warm, welcoming and friendly. Five star...

I was bought this as a birthday present. The amount of sandwiches for both of us were not enough to feed a 5 year old. I expected the ham to be off the bone but it looked a tasted like what I class as cheap plastic ham. The mandarin mouse tasted of nothing. The cream for the scones tasted of...

Had a birthday surprise for my fiancee by staying in this well run hotel. The staff are very welcoming, friendly and provided 10/10 customer satisfaction for our stay. The food is amazing even though a tad pricey, however do not the price ruin the quality of food and service. The bedroom we stayed in was out of this world, really spacious...

I wanted a treat for myself and my wife during our month long road trip in England. I have always wanted to stay in a Abbey and I wasn't disappointed. In my next life I am going to join a religious order that has a beautiful abbey like this one. The entrance was very period and inviting. The large room...
