Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The front-desk staff was very friendly, but their continental breakfast was cold when it was served. I like the rooms. The pool was small and a bit dingy for my tastes. Besides that, we had a very nice vacation here. They seem to be taking COVID very seriously. Surfaces were clean and sanitary.

An essential journey last week brought me to Borsetshire, with very limited choices of accommodation. Decided to stay out of Felpersham on this occasion and came across this country house hotel.

My room was comfortable, but felt rather dated, as if I had been transported back to the 1970s. I'm surprised it is still possible to source candlewick bedspreads and Candy Stripe flannelette sheets.

Food, however, was excellent, despite the slightly musty smell coming from what I assume to be the kitchen. I wondered if someone had burnt the toast recently.

The proprietor looked quite careworn and worried throughout my visit, so I hope the hotel isn't in any kind of financial difficulty.

The room/decor was a little dated to my liking. Would have loved something a little more modern, but the room was clean and had everything we needed. Food was pretty good but nothing to write home about. I would say everything felt a bit average.

Despite the building works this remains better than a Premier Inn and despite the reception not being manned (or womaned) we let ourselves into the traditional suite and relaxed. The bar wasn't in use but a local teenager kingly sold us some of his wares which made the evening go swimmingly.
Breakfast was provided by the local pub...first class establishment, been there before in the evening and so long as you avoid getting stuck with village bore Adam you`ll have a wonderful time.

DO NOT GO TO BRIDGE FARM! The tea shop is lovely but whenever I've visited theres been an elderly woman trying to feed me soup and a man trying to give me a 'sausage' which makes me very worried thanks to the new 'viewing window'

A fabulous stay. I real haven that almost felt like Covid wasn't happening. We thought that it was lovely that the proprietor was wining and dining a young lady in the restaurant. The slightly 'smokey' smell was a bit strange but kind of added to the atmosphere. As somebody else mentioned 'Kathy; (Is she the manager?) was a bit quiet but did her job admirably well.
The surrounding area is very pleasant, and rural. There is a good traditional pub in the village, complete with peacock! We bought some lovely cheese from a local farm too.
We hope to return.

Arrived for my long standing booking to find the place closed. Some gloomy looking yokel called Roy told me that Tracey (whoever she is) should have phoned me. He did save the day a little as he manage to find me a bed at a rather pretentious B&B (a B&B with a Shepherd's hut for goodness sake) called Ambridge Hall.

We went there on a whim this weekend and found it strangely empty. No menus on the outside door and what looked like a deserted badly damaged kitchen. Can anyone explain? It’s set in the lovely rolling hills of the West Midlands- ideal for Stratford.

Super menu is only one plus.
Rooms were a little dated, grounds were beautiful even in the winter-spring.
The only drawback was the two noisy kids which looks like, live there.
There was one quite strange member of staff as well

Tried to report the smell of petrol to the manager Kathy Perks but she just sat there mute. Does this woman ever speak? Decided to go out for a walk to the bird hide and then someone let off a huge bang scaring all the birds away. Won’t be going back for some time I think.

Having been recommended this hotel by my neighbour up here in the north east, we booked a luxury weekend. We retired to our room on Friday evening as the lounge seemed to be very busy with rather damp and bedraggled locals, we can only assume they were a local ramblers group. Imagine my shock when we rose for breakfast on the Saturday to find this same group helping themselves to the buffet breakfast. One elderly gentleman appeared to be feeding the cold meats to a stoat like animal. In addition a female 'guest' was wandering around in a poorly fitting dressing gown.

The duty manager seemed preoccupied by a missing teenager and the Mrs Snell was not in her meat and tidy attire as I was led to understand from previous reviews.

I don't really feel this 'open to all' policy is fitting for an exclusive hotel.

If you mean Tommy Croker Junior, we used to host regular tea dances featuring his Combo, but their increasing tendency to dabble with progressive jazz tended to upset the older guests. You can of course book the Ballroom for your own functions at competitive rates - but not for the foreseeable as it's being used as a field hospital since the flooding.
