This is not a hotel, it is merely a sleeping annex for the adjacent Edgbaston Palace Hotel. I don't believe that any of the photos shown on the booking websites are of the Cavalier House Hotel. The building is not manned, there is no reception and no facilities other than in the next door hotel. The room I was allocated...

we had an unexpected call to birmingham for a hospital emergency and booked this hovel blind from our phone as an emergency overnight stay. the hotel was in darkness as it was not in proper use, other than as overflow accommodation fro the Edgbaston palace next door. We did look at the allocated room, and thought that Crime Scene would...

Booked a room for 3 adults last minute online due to its close proximity to the Queen Elizabeth hospital. What a big mistake! Arrived in the pouring rain, hotel looked empty and very uninviting. Got into the porch, doors were locked with a sign giving instructions to check in next door at the Edgbaston Palace. Checked in to a family...

We walked into the room to a set of stairs that leads to a mezzanine floor with bed on, I did like this and thought it was a good use of space and high ceilings, I gave the low score for the lack of cleaning, everything was dusty so who ever cleans the rooms isn't checking everything, luckily the bed...

Was initially allocated Room 19, but when I noticed it did not have a desk to work at I requested a move. No problems at all and I was allocated another room 15 instantly. This was on the ground floor and looked out onto the rear garden. What a super room with a recently refurbished bathroom with bath/shower. Wifi was...

Dont stay here if you want a full nights sleep. The walls are as thin as tracing paper, we were kept awake when the party from the room next door rolled in at 4am and continued to shout and bang for atleast an hour. Literally felt as though they were in the same room! After reading the reviews before we...

This is supposed to be 3 star, but doesn't rank 1 star! Breakfast and registration in the next door hotel, and breakfast was on a par with a Tesco's special. Whilst the room was warm, the carpet was filthy and stained, the bed-side light didn't work and there was no shower gel. The walls were paper then so we heard...
