Myself and my parents were visiting Birmingham for a few days and had never been to the city before. When we arrived at the hotel the receptionist did not look up to greet us and left us waiting for at least 3 minutes before she checked us in. She was quite curt with us overall and her manner became quite...

As an overnight stopover this has proved very convenient. I have stayed there 3 times now, each time getting a better room. Some of them are lovely. They are trying really hard to make it more comfortable and provide a good service, but it is obvious that money has to be saved, and some corners are cut. It is not...

Old slightly rundown hotel. 3 * but that over rates it! No lifts and with members with arthritis it was a problem. Minimal parking at the front but large car park behind which closes at 10pm and is closed all day Sunday. Some staff friendly, others less so. Rooms small cold one night hot the next! It needs a revamp.

The hotel looks nice from outside and I must say that breakfast was ok.. However, the room that I had was terrible.. The heating was not working properly and it was cold, the carpet smelled like a very, very badly dirty wet dog and the liquid soap had mold in it.. Yes, it is not a typo: there was mold...

Place looked ok from the outside and is on a straight road into town. Inside had a damp, dingy demeanour, the sort of joint you wipe feet on your way out. The tall balding manager and a chamber maid in one of the guest rooms having sex (should have kept a lid on it) just added a seediness to the...

Here for the night before an interview. Friendly German chap welcomed me and gave me the rules and regs. The hotel is presented well. The room: Booked a single room so expected a single bed and such but was gifted with a queen size bed in a VERY COSY room. I say this because the room was very small, but...

My family and I stayed here two nights. We were told at checkin that take out food and alcohol were not allowed in the room!! Also, the breakfast is overpriced at £12.95 a person and there are No other options. It is either all or nothing. This was very disappointing as we only wanted a continential breakfast but were forced...

I slept here by chance only one night...old fashion, old style, old bedroom and old bathroom...( without radiator...I left open the door to ensure a warm environment...). Even the breakfast is nothing special. If you look for a cheap stay this is your place.

I stayed at this hotel on 31st December but never again, the stay started by being given a room that was in a building next to the main building, the room was ice cold and when i complained to the manager all i was offered was an extra blanket and told the room would warm up, after sitting in the...
