Dirty, smelly, poxy room with stains, cob webs. I didn't dare to try the menu. The drawer had coffee stains inside. The staff were pleasant. The pool table was rubbish and fifty pence per play so we played and had a beer or two while the manager & receptionist ate their fried dinner two nights in a row. Do not... More

On arrival we noticed that the hotel actually looked a lot worse than online fotos. We discovered the heating was broken in entire hotel, we froze our butts off on first night. There was a distinct smell of gas in our room, after notifying reception we were told 'it's nothing to worry about as the'd just changed a barrel'????! whatever... More

Read all these reviews and makes me cringe... It's a cheap night and breakfast! What do you bloody expect for that! Spot on hotel took eight ppl, not one person complained. Good value or money. Yeah the room could do with updating but who cares.....

The bathrooms looked dingy, hair stuck on sticky walls etc. My friend said her bed felt like it had been 'used' fairly recently, still smelt like it.. Didn't want to examine anything too closely after that just wanted to get through the night and get out.

Even though we checked in after 4pm, one of the rooms was not ready, and all 5 of us had to wait in the other room whilst it was supposedly 'cleaned'. When we did get into the second room the only thing I can say that was clean was the bed sheets, everything else was either dirty or broken -... More

Checked in at 3pm on Sunday 6th Feb, luckily I had my laptop with me and found another hotel at the university by 6pm. Why? Read on. The front door was a bit rubbish, with a greeny grey and rotting wooden door. Nice guy at reception, but the area smelled a bit, er, musky. The room had a phone stuck... More

A few of my friends came to Birmingham for a night out and I was concerned about fitting people into the room. I called the hotel direct and spoke to Aaron who was very friendly and helpful. He did mention that one of the rooms were slightly larger than the others and a way I could possibly find the room... More

No doubt, you'll have read the other reviews that go on about how dreadful this hotel is. Yes, it is basic and yes, it could do with some modernisation but we found it to be good quality for the price we paid. All beds and bedding were spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The room and communal ares were all also... More

Arrived at the hotel looked ok from the outside then we were shown our rooms omg never experienced anything like it. We were travelling with my daughter and her boyfriend for her birthday. Both rooms were freezing cold, the carpets were filthy covered in cigarette burns. My husband and my room had no kettle no cups nor any tea or... More
