This hotel is very good once inside the place the rooms are spacious and clean except in some corners there is trapped dirt also outside there are major building works which is a put off and makes finding the entrance difficult but other then that very good

After a long wait to check in, the room was "tired", the carpet was so dirty I didn't want to take my shoes off and there were marks on the wall paper where previous bits of furniture had been removed leaving dirty marks round the edges. However the worst feature was breakfast! There was no-one available in the restaurant despite...

This hotel has a great central location, in the heart of Birmingham near all amenities. We paid extra for a superior room and there was nothing superior about it. It was clean but all just dated and tired. The wine prices were ridiculously expensive and made that mistake only once. Breakfast was ok but the service was a bit slow...

We booked this hotel to stay in over the weekend as a group of 4 friends. From the moment we got to the Copthorne we were disappointed. On arriving we went to the carpark to try to park up, which was Impossible given how small the parking lot was and how other guests had parked so selfishly taking up near...

Attended a conference based at this hotel so stayed in as well. The building is dated and they no longer have a swimming pool but as it is all due to come down in the next 2-3 years, it is not worth spending too much in refurbs. I think the Copthorne is planning to build a new hotel just to...

After reading the reviews I wasn't looking forward to staying here, but as the rugby was on that weekend this was the only hotel available. The room was clean but tired looking. The shower did leak after we used it and the hotel couldn't fix it, they did offer to get maintenance out but that was going to take a...

Me and my partner chose this hotel as it seemed reasonably priced with a decent location for a nights break from home. Upon arrival it was difficult to navigate around the hotel as there are so many roadworks, it would have been nice to be pre warned. Check in took a while as the receptionist answered the phone half way...

Having stayed at the Copthorne in Newcastle, which is excellent, I booked the Birmingham Copthorne when working away one weekend. Firstly the hotel is not the most accessible. It is over the other side of the dual carriageway from the town centre meaning a walk through the Paradise Forum (Which is currently a building site) to access. On arrival at...

Location good for broad street and the rep theatre. We stayed in a club room which was spotlessly clean and modern, the bed however was rock hard so hardly slept a wink. Seats in reception and the bar were antique to say the least and needed throwing out, really old leather all cracked and in holes, really let the place...

The hotel is ideally placed to visit Central Birmingham. OK there are roadworks which confuse access but that's not the fault of the hotel. Everything else, is however all down to them. The reception staff stood out as a beacon of friendly helpfulness. They were professional but very welcoming. That and the loaction are the only good things I have...
