Stayed here on business, the whole place is a building site and despite the glass building the hotel is a step back in time, check in took ages due to a large queue with only one person on reception, I had been upgraded to a 'Club' room this turned out to be a twin room which was baking hot, the...

Stayed here for a night when working in the area. Staff very friendly and helpful with all queries and recommendations for getting to where I needed to go. Had room service dinner and breakfast, food was lovely and not overpriced! The hotel decor was quirky but this really added to its character. Room was huge, clean and had everything you...

Enjoyed staying at this hotel, ideal for a business trip nothing else. Easy to park the car, clean reception and leads into the bar / restaurant Then room was huge with a comfy bed. I enjoyed my stay here but wouldn't stay here if it wasn't a business trip though.

Very dated decor in room in desperate need of refurb. Asked to move car as apparently parked in 'staff parking space' (main car park showing as full in spite of numerous visible spaces, nobody answers phone at barrier). Told loudly and abruptly in front of other guests that I have 'no credit' at bar in spite of swiping card at...

I stayed two nights recently. This Copthorne needs an overhaul in many respects. I was informed it's a 4 star hotel - well - maybe at one time it was. Fixtures, furniture, coloring, decor is all very dated. It's difficult to access right now due to major construction in the area. My room was clean and fairly comfortable. It faced...

Stayed with hubby for weekend and agree with others, hotel needs a refurbishment tatty fixtures even little things like room service menus stained. However for the price and location it's not too bad. The staff were very helpful especially marian on reception and alex at the bar both had excellent local knowledge and both recommended good venues for us to...

I did not stay here as it was too expensive on night and I stayed at another however met colleagues who were staying for a meal. I left my coat in one of their rooms and it was nothing exceptional. We eat in the bugis restaurant and had a nice thai/chinese sort of fusion. Food and service was good although...

Booked a 1-night stay because of the price and location. Due to road works, hotel access is challenging and came in through the South entrance through the restaurant. The walk-through to the main lobby gave an indication of the state of the hotel's facilities - once lovely but stuck in time! The facility needs a complete overhaul to bring it...

I was there for a week for business. Rooms are worn out, could seriously use some paint and maintenance. The hotel is listed as 4 star hotel, but to be fair I would give it 2.5 star. I travel a lot and see different hotels and this was most likely the worst.

This hotel is a little tired but it's ok. What really makes the place is the staff who are fantastic, the location which is central to everything going on in the city, and the food in the restaurant which is really great. The car park is easy to find but there really are only a few car park spaces and...
