On previous visits to Birmingham I have usually stayed at one of the Ibis hotels but this time, the asking price was astronomical. Selected this hotel as the reviews were generally good and in all fairness, was only here for one night. Obviously NO trouble in finding the hotel and I was quite impressed by the speed (minutes) with which...

Just got back from 1 night here, the location can not be faulted, bang next to the bull ring, two minutes walk from the recommended secure car park which was £6.50 for 24 hrs through a deal the hotel has, you do need to get the hotel to validate your ticket otherwise it's £18. The hotel is very basic and...

So the agency I work for booked me into here for 2 nights this weekend upon reading the reviews I was dreading it! I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. The main downside for me was the noise and I'm not talking people noise I'm talking glass being emptied into bins at 3am and being woken up at all...

Rude, unhelpful receptionist who sniffed and snorted throughout her Soviet-style check-in process, through to a cold, filthy room and bathroom with shockingly uncomfortable beds and decor straight out of the seventies. Oh and, to add insult to injury, they have the cheek to charge for Wifi in guest rooms!

Stayed for one night for leisure. The location is quite magnificent, with transport links and nightlife literally steps away. Much could be done with the building too. Upon entrance the reception area is welcoming, if faded. Friendly receptionist. The elevator is simply not fit for purpose in the 21st century: a rattling, creaking double door unit with about 12sq feet...

Positives The place is ideally located within 5 minutes walk of the main train station and there is a lovely Japanese restaurant two minutes away. Parking is also available nearby. Staff also were nice enough. Cons The rooms in the surface look clean but are dirty when you look. There was an unpleasant smell in the room, a stain on...

Not a great room for the money. Stained and unironed curtains. Bathroom ceiling stained and rail hanging off. View was just unexceptional rather not have any windows at all. Just not worth the money although the location was ok they are plenty of other hotels nearby. Won't be going back!!

Bed bugs in the bed! Do not stay in the hotel! I spent one night and the next morning I had more than 30 bites around my arms and neck. I contacted the hotel after going to the hospital in order to inform them about their terrible hygienic conditions, they said the called a Pest control to check it however...

There are a lot of good points about this hotel, It is in a very good location, In the centre but away from the usual city noise. The room was very clean and the employees were very helpful and pleasant. The main gripe was listening to private moments from other rooms when in the corridor. It didn't bother me but...
