Do not stay here and don't expect any support from the customer service team.... Checked in at a desk in the bottom. Of a stairwell that is unmanned... and was made to pay balance before getting keys... Once in the room it was cold and damp as window latch was broken, bathroom light didn't work at all, and bathroom itself was filthy. A yellow liquid was coming from the toilet and was in the shower tray too! Was told no other rooms were avaliable so booked another hotel but as leaving the reception guy said I could look at a different room instead. Too late I left. Called customer service within an hour of leaving. After several arguments they agreed a refund. 2 months later only one third has been received back to my card as paid... Rest has been given in credit. I have sent bank statements in to show the payment but week after week they keep calling me a liar.... I will never stay here of any other oyo hotel every again!!!!!! …

Don’t bother wasting your money spend a bit more and stay at the holiday inn! Room was filthy and still had the remains of someone else’s stay. As seen in the pictures. Called the number and the guy who answered wasn’t very helpful at all, managed to get a room change which was slightly better. Felt very uncomfortable especially with everything that is going on at the moment.

If you're thinking of staying here.. DON'T!! I arrived at 1:30am as a lone female, I got to my room, there was urine in the toilet, rubbish in the bin with receipts from 2 days before, there wasn't even a cup, my cutlery consisted of a teaspoon, a broken dessert spoon and a washed up mcflurry spoon, there was mud all on the carpet.. And no WiFi. I was told I could sit on the reception desk if I needed to use the Internet. I emailed to make a complaint where I was told I hadnt paid yet I'd paid cash when I checked in, i asked for my invoice and it took 2 hours of being screamed and balled at by that same member of staff to receive it. The same member of staff continually called me pretending to be another staff member dealing with my complaint, when I told him I was aware he was the same man that checked me in, he then gave my number to someone who lives in the hotel and they called me and told me that the WiFi hasn't worked on that side for around 6 months. I asked for a refund as I was completely unhappy and that same staff member laughed at me, then told me I couldn't have a refund because 'he knows what I'm trying to do' I told him I was going to complain about him, he laughed at me and told me to prove it. Its a horrible dirty place. That staff member (Indian man, early to mid 30s) who was on the night shift is disgraceful, the way he speaks to customers and breaches data is disgusting. He is very intimidating. Honestly, pay the extra £20 and stay at the Holiday Inn opposite.…

Having read many reviews on the place i have to say when i first arrived things were a little shocking to say the least but improvements have been made over the last week, rooms whilst may be a little tired looking but they are clean and cheerful, and quite spacious for the price, having been taken over by the council during covid you could say things got out of control and this was hard for hotel manager being the only member of staff on site as furlough was in place, The new manager has made a big difference in cleaning the place up, maybe not 100% yet so well worth a stay over.

Absolutely filthy room. The only place I have had to go where I went out and bought antibacterial spray to spray everywhere because it was too late to find an alternative. Entrance was dirty and contravened fire regulations with fire doors propped open and bags of dirty laundry in the corridors. Filthy socks in the lobby/stairs. The room was a hovel all surfaces dirty with fingerprints all over the light switches, door handles and mirrors, Blinds and curtains had dubious stains and didn’t work. Chewing gum on bedroom window sill!! Cutlery unclean and no excuse because there’s a dishwasher. Dirty fridge and cooker!! Bathroom well what can I say ... absolute filth with stained toilet, shower ... all I can say is nasal detritus (SNOT!!!). Feel ill writing this!!! Needless to say we were out of there as soon as we could and booked something else!…
