Hotel was really clean and modern, lovely atmosphere and a great location, close to the town and train station. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and made it a pleasure to be there. The food was delicious and lots of wonderful choices - I would definitely stay here again.

Can't quite make my mind up about this place, it's the wrong side of the roundabout from the Bullring, the parking is limited to about 20 cars, and expensive, the food is expensive too, but on the good side, rooms are comfortable and modern. Can't fault the staff. The bar area looks small until you realise there's more upstairs, much...

I stayed in this hotel during the last week, having needed to be up in Birmingham early the following day to deliver a lecture. The hotel is pretty easy to find from Birmingham New Street station, with massive white illuminated letters on the outside of the hotel. It seemed like any other central city hotel, but trying to find 'reception'...

Ok hotel! Staff are very friendly and helpful. There is a good vibe about JD hotel with cool relaxing lounge and the bar. Hotel room on the other hand wasn't great. Stopped in far better rooms for cheaper. The room was clean and the TV with the free movies was good. But the room was tiny, the pictures on their...

Everything about my stay at the hotel was great, everyone was lovely greeted by helpfully smiley people. The rooms were perfect, both clean and beautiful, every well maintained, room service was excellent with it taking exactly the length of time discussed over the phone. Food was gorgeous, and them chips were to die for ( I need your recipe). A...

This is a modern but very comfortable hotel. Stayed overnight when on a training course and was easy to find. The room was very good with a comfortable extra large double bed and modern bathroom. The restaurant was atmospheric and the food and wine very good. Excellent service. Best breakfast ever! I would definitely recommend this hotel to family and...

We chose Birmingham as it was ideal for a short commute to Cheltenham. How lucky we were to find this wonderful place. Ideally located for an easy ten minute walk from New St. Station. We arrived quite early and were able to leave our bags so we head off into Birmingham for an afternoon of shopping. When we arrived back...

Stayed here recently and was expecting a little bit more than reality - the concept is great but let down in execution. The furnishings throughout the hotel were tired and low-rent - for example the fabric on the dining chair in the restaurant had holes and was threadbare Also, the location is somewhat salubrious: I arrived at about 6pm and...

First the good: Nice decor in main hotel areas, gym (small but adequately equipped), breakfast was very good (even Presseco for breakfast if you fancied it), staff very good. Not so great: Check in at the bar was different, car park has space for a dozen cars and costs £16 a day, rooms were disappointing and small (Penta+) and I...

Checking in was a bit unusual as it's in the main bar, so you have to work your way past customers drinking and playing pool. Warm welcome with lots of information. Room was comfortable, with basic tea and coffee, toiletries were of a good standard. Plenty of lighting, plugs, etc no iron in the room though. Evening meal was good,...
