We were visiting Stratford for the first time. We wanted to soak up the heritage of the town and visit the various tourist attractions. The White Swan was ideal in many ways. As a historic property it had loads of atmosphere. It is centrally located, just round the corner from Shakespeare's birth place and little more than five minutes walk...

Dear Alex A, Thank you for your review of the hotel. I am quite pleased to read that you had an enjoyable stay with us. Our hotel marries the old and the new quite well, and we try to match the upscale décor with fantastic service. Our food is always freshly cooked to order and only uses the freshest in-season...

Gorgeous hotel. Loads of character. All staff were very polite. Young lady serving behind the bar on Sunday night made my day with her humer and banter. Looking forward to the next visit. Only slight fly in the ointment was three youths hugging the open fire all night. No consideration to the rest of the pub.

Dear X6510SVnickd, Thank you for your review. I am glad that the hotel pleased you aesthetically and that you stay was comfortable. We like to inject humour whenever possible as we believe that warmth is but one important aspect in any service. The open fire is quite in demand this wintry season but as you well know, once you sit...

Rabbit Warren corridors, four poster beds, copper baths. Great service, friendly staff. Right in the centre of Stratford Upon Avon this 15th Century Inn with restaurant / pub is perfectly situated for exploring the surrounding area with all its history. House keeping kept our complimentary water, filter coffee and biscuits topped up during our two night stay. Highly recommended. We...

Dear gilly6827, Thank you for your review. We have had many comments about the maze of corridors, from charming to confusing but I believe it just adds to the je ne sais quoi of the building. The housekeeping staff likes to make sure that each and every stay is comfortable and catered for. Your recommendation is music to my ears....

Really enjoyed our stay, great location and very comfortable room. It's a nice old building that has been sympathetically restored and updated. Staff were all extremely friendly. Location was great for the middle of Stratford and there was a pay and display car park nearby.

Very highly recommended for a stay in Stratford Upon Avon. The hotel itself is wonderful; a beautiful old building (part of the decorations in the dining room date back to 1560. In a good way!). However, the rooms are decorated to a high standard, and very comfortable. It's also ideally located for exploring Stratford; Holy Trinity church and the RSC...

Dear cfoley79, Thank you for your review. I am pleased to read that you had an enjoyable stay with us. It's a very cozy boutique hotel which is close to train station. In the restaurant, part of the wall is protected by glass cover and you can tell the age of the historical building. The food tastes delicious as well. I had dinner and breakfast there. It's perfect!
