Went with friends for two nights. Sadly hurricane Doris came too so sightseeing not possible. The hotel was really comfortable with good facilities, reataurant and staff. The spa area and pool looked great. However, service was slow. One bar man, although charming, was coping with spa guests orders as well as residents. Would have liked more vegetarian choice on menu.

On arrival around lunchtime felt reception could have been a little more friendly, was rather curtly told rooms not available until 3, and also did not listen to what we said to them. On our return later in the afternoon we were given the keys to our room, no 29. We appreciate it is an old hotel so no lifts...

The restaurant service was extremely slow, could be to lack of staff. Took 2+ hours for a meal and then had to find a waitress to order dessert. Had to ask for soup spoons and knife for cheese. Ordered scrambled egg on toast for breakfast. After a long wait I saw someone near us served with scrambled egg and salmon,...

Very impressed with this hotel. Only reason I've not given it 5 is because of the crazy shower and slightly old carpet!! I had originally asked for a deluxe room but due to the hotel having a company booked in they could not upgrade us. Upon seeing our standard room I was REALLY PLEASED that we had not upgraded. The...

Okay. We enjoyed our great of two days and nights. It was good value. We would go again. So, what's the problem? Lots of silly things that would be easily sorted with some thought and training. 1 why give guests paper serviette with their main meal 2 why pour wine and not ask if the guest would care to try...

This was a Xmas present to enjoy 24 hours children free break away. On arrival we were impressed with the setting and look of the manor. We were given room 9 on check in which turned out to be a nice spacious room with great views to the front of the manor. It is abit of a maze making your...

Book two nights in a deluxe room. Well appointed and comfortable. Restaurant menu limited, but food interestingly presented. Traditional breakfast, as expected. Bar issues....no prosecco two nights running. Unchilled white wine. Two items on bar menu off. Non ordered drink found listed on bar tab... Room. Radiator very hot 24/7 with no means of reducing temperature. Uncomfortable. Illuminated mirror in...

I stayed here a few years ago with the wife and went for the return trip last weekend. The grounds are nice for pleasant walks. The staff really do show an interest in what you would like to do. The manor house itself was just as I remembered it back in the day and was most agreeable. The dining areas...

Dear Pat D Thank you for taking the time to review Billesley Manor and for the five stars. I am pleased that you had another enjoyable visit but a few niggles with food which I hope will not put you off returning. Room 4 is a wonderful room and as you said 'really does give you a idea of what...

Having had a lovely experience the first time, we thought we would book again. The hotel is set in beautiful grounds and is very quiet We had a great deal, 3 course dinner, bed and breakfast plus bottle of wine for £129. Great offer and dinner was beautiful. The restaurant is lovely, and love to bar! Nice relaxing evening. Our...
