We loved the look of this hotel from the website and wanted to book the suite for my wife and 2 young kids. We were willing to pay the price quoted on the website. My wife called today to enquire about the size of the room, the pool timings for kids etc. and the lady who answered was very rude....

Stayed here for a family get-together at the end of April. The hotel accommodation is very expensive for rooms that aren't particularly exciting, and we felt that it was poor value for money and the staff showed little interest in the hotel guests. We visited the same hotel a few years ago and felt that things have gone downhill. Positives:...

We enjoyed a really fantastic weekend at the Welcombe. Arriving at the property driving through the beautifully manicured grounds and then being greeted by the property itself certainly raises expectations and we weren't disappointed. A group of 4 we had booked one of the self catering apartments but as part of the fantastic deal we had dinner, bed & breakfast...

Superb technology in golf buggy which goes wonderfully with scenic course. Delightful spa. Excellent food served pleasantly by attentive staff. Within a short distance of city centre. For the erudite steeped in Shakespeare.

Stayed as part of a 2 night Secret Escapes package with dinner on one night. Hearts fell as we encountered noisy wedding fayre on arrival but this soon finished. Room allocated was miles from reception in damp-smelling annexe, so felt a bit duped by booking agent, but reception staff soon fixed with upgrade to tower in main house. Housekeeping needs...

Stayed here recently with friends on a golf break. The course was in excellent condition, very interesting, tough but by no means impossible. Lots of trees and narrow gaps to drive through so hitting straight is a major advantage! Played on Sunday and Monday and weather was very different on each day which added to the challenge. The only problem...

The Welcombe was everything we could of asked for, for seeing the sights of Stratford Upon Avon. The staff here wherever you went, were the most helpful, friendliest staff ive ever encountered. The spa and amenities were top notch and i must recommend the afternoon tea. The only down point was the beds were not the comfiest, the doors were...

What a lovely place. My husband booked a special night away for my birthday & I wasn't disappointed. We were lucky enough to have a room upgrade to a characterful suite, 4 poster bed, his & her sinks, lounge area, it was beautiful. Spend the day time in Stratford which you could walk to & the early evening in the...

Stayed for one night to see RSC. Hotel is grand and staff very welcoming. Old country mansion feel to it, with large bar and restaurant. Breakfast was good - full buffet + special orders. Golf course looked good

A very nice hotel, we booked the night before and stayed for just the one night wishing it was longer. Although this hotel is only a couple of miles from Stratford it felt like it was in the middle of nowhere. A perfect hideaway if needed. Parking was a little difficult as the spa/golf course are very popular. However we...
