My husband & I stayed here for 3 nights for a getaway to Stratford upon Avon/Warwick. We were extremely impressed by the hotel. Fantastic location & great food served for breakfast & dinner. The room was huge & the facilities were amazing. Would definitely stay here again next time we're back & will recommend to friends too.

A great place to stay right in the historic part of the town. The room was spacious and comfortable at the rear of the building. It was immaculately clean, the management and staff were both helpful and friendly. We had a beautifully cooked breakfast and we went back for an excellent Sunday lunch!

We stayed one night on April 19th on a theatre visit to Stratford and the whole experience was difficult to fault. Our room was spacious and very comfortable. There was a real attention to detail and lots of lovely touches. We loved the port and homemade biscuits and quality tea with fresh milk. We both slept very well in the...

We stayed at the Townhouse for the Easter weekend and had a wonderful stay. On arrival the staff we very welcoming and friendly, the room was decorated to a high standard and was very clean. I had seen some reviews that mentioned noise being a problem however we stayed in room 6 which was above the main entrance, and I...

We were mother and adult daughter and stayed in room 5 a twin which could also be made up as a 6ft double, beds were really comfortable with feather duvets and pillows (confusing as description said hypo-allergenic but it didn't really matter). Our first impressions were excellent, nice sized room with a large en suite with a really efficient shower...

We stayed here for the night as we planned to see a play at The Swan, and decided to have a pre-dinner meal at The Townhouse. For £14.50 we had a very good three-course meal, with a good choice of options. Breakfast the following morning was also very good, and set us up for the day.. The Townhouse had been...

Stayed here over the Easter Bank holiday. We parked in the NCP which is a 1 minute walk from the hotel. 24 hours parking is usually £18, but the hotel gave us a discounted card meaning parking was just £4.70... very cheap for Stratford! Check in was swift, and we were shown to our room (10). We were stunned by...

Excellent location, very clean and fresh room and friendly staff. Ideal for walking to shops, restaurants and pubs as well as having it's own bar and restaurant (we used their bar extensively but only had breakfast in the restaurant - it was really good)

Myself and a friend popped in as we were passing on our day out shopping. We chose the fixed price lunch and it didn't feel like we had. Beautiful salad of goats cheese and heritage beetroot. Absolutely stunning, mouthwatering, delectable main of onion tart tatin with chicory and salad. Beautiful venue and remarkably quiet considering how busy Stratford can be....

We spent a night whilst visiting Stratford for Anthony & Cleopatra at the RSC. We were expecting it to be very twee, but in fact the rooms are very modern and of a high standard. Good size rooms with an excellent bed, all very clean, and overall fantastic. Coffee and tea making facilities in the rooms, plus real milk and...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
This recently refurbished boutique hotel is housed in a 400 year old listed building in the heart of Stratford upon Avon. Located opposite Shakespeare's school, among the ancient half-timbered buildings the town is famous for and only 2 minute's walk to the Royal Shakespeare Theatre. This is THE place for a pre-theatre supper - local pianists play at 5.30pm daily and the atmosphere is great. The 12 funky en-suite bedrooms vary in size, cost and view. Try for a room at the front of the building for the perfect view. Great food is served all day, through till 10pm in this buzzy neighbourhood bistro with Afternoon Tea a particular favorite. Champagne Happy Hour is every Friday at 5pm and the bar is packed with a great, upmarket local crowd. The staff make the place and nothing is too much trouble. ... more   less
