We were somewhat apprehensive about booking at The Arden Hotel after our last experience (see my reviews of 1 January 2016), but I am pleased to report that there has been a considerable improvement in service in the restaurant. Staff were pleasant and proactive, whereas before it had been difficult to get anyone to acknowledge you; breakfast orders were taken... More

Went to see the 'Tempest' at the RSC, which was fantastic and the hotel situated just across the road was just as good. Our room was very comfortable, clean and roomy. Our deal included breakfast and a pre-theater meal in the restaurant, food was excellent and the price for the two of us, especially when you take into consideration the... More

We stayed for one night, after a matinee at the theatre. It really is a charming hotel in a superb location in the middle of Stratford - literally three minutes from the theatre and very close to the main sights and shopping streets. For location it can't be faulted. The service was unfailingly friendly and helpful - reception, maintenance, restaurant... More

We first visited this hotel in 1971 on our honeymoon. As it was our 45th anniversary this year we decided that it would be nice to revisit. We were pleased to find it was still a very good quality hotel. Our room..Apple..was beautiful. So comfortable and every need catered for. As it was our anniversary, the hotel gave us a... More

What a fantastic hotel. Great location, good parking, a very nice room, and an exceptionally comfortable bed. Better still the staff were fantastic, genuinely friendly and helpful with the check-in team being probably the best I've experienced, what a great team. Had breakfast this morning, and that was great too! We'll be back for sure, well done everyone.

We stayed as a couple in November 2016. The booking and arrival process was smooth, and showed to the room (Pine room). The room was very nicely decorated with a large modern bathroom with bath and huge shower, We chose B&B rate, and the breakfast was excellent with superb service. The restaurant overlooks the park and river and is a... More

As soon as I walked in The Arden Hotel, I knew I had chosen the right hotel for us to celebrate our anniversary. Cannot fault the room and bathroom at all. Dinner was so tasty, very well presented and we were served by a lovely young man. We chose not to have breakfast as an extra £20 EACH seemed daft... More

We stayed in the Acer room which was very pleasant, comfortable and quite spacious. Initially we could not get the coffee machine to work but it was sorted immediately. There were generous supplies of tea, coffee, biscuits and apples and REAL milk. Real milk always goes down well, I hate those stupid long life capsules. We booked for dinner at... More

In my view this is the best full service hotel in or around Stratford, and I enjoyed my stay here. (Better than the local Ettington Park or Welcombe hotels, but they are country house hotels, not town centre hotels.) The only negative I have about The Arden is the decor, which to it's credit isn't bland and so at least... More

We spent one night here in a luxurious room with en-suite consisting of bath and his-and-hers showers! The toilet was separately located. As we were residents, we could park our car in the hotel's car park free of charge. The hotel is very conveniently situated, close to the Royal Shakespeare Theatre, and the high street with its shops, inns and tea... More
