I was desparate for a room and HAD to stay here! What a cesspit. I paid £120 for a single room with a SHARED bathroom, filthy, one tiny threadbare handtowel. Single cable light with a bulb, no shade or proper fitting, exposed electrics in the shower room. Tea & coffee but no spoon! The fire brigade, health & safety and...

Motel express is a new name for Express rooms. The hotel has had a lick of paint and that's about it. We booked an executive room which was advertised on booking .com only to be told on arrival there is no such room. We were given a room with 3 single beds in the room lights had no light shades...

Do not book this hotel through any hotel websites as it is closed down but is still being advertised! Planned to stop here with 6 other lads however when we arrived a note was left on the door which simply said closed down, no apology just a number of another hotel in the area which was fully booked. Apparently they...

Bathroom was filthy (see pics). Dirty towels left in the bath and a cleaner hasn't been near the place since 1983 by the looks of things. After our room wasn't available, we were traipsed around the place to find one that had clean bedding, which we got after 3 attempts. This room had no tv, a mirror balanced on a...

After reading reviews on here was unsure about booking but on arrival asked to see the room and the bed was new and clean, new carpets down and was OK for £26 for a couple including breakfast. In the short you get what you pay for and for that sort of money don't expect a 5* hotel

If you have to stay overnight on business or as a student and you're not too worried about luxury then this is an ideal stopover. It is set back from the road and quiet. Not sure what this building was originally but it is very interesting being made of stone and rambling. For the price it offers exceptional value. The...

Cannot believe after a three hour drive what absolute filth and disgust we checked in to for £40 a night. Regular camper and would much prefer the floor to this place. Curtains mouldy and hanging off. Walls and damp and mouldy. Carpets in tatters. Rooms hadn't been cleaned properly - hair and what else from previous room tenants. Slept fully...

We were on a family road trip and booked in with six adults and four children. The children loved the wilderness garden but the hotel was FILTHY. I developed a rash overnight and there was a stink everywhere. It seemed populated by sad men who looked like they all needed a good was - disgusting.

The hotel is a lovely old house. The downstairs was freshly decorated and breakfast room very nice. The actual bedrooms and showers were very shabby and not clean at all. There was no soap or towels provided so I had to go and buy some.I know it was cheap but you do expect the beds and showers to be clean.Very disappointed with this...
