I used the clifton hotel for my 21st with 5 other friends. I pre booked the family delux room on which said it would require 3 double beds , tv , hair dryer, bath/shower etc on which we thought they would supply anyway. we also thought we would have our own bathroom. But this was not the case as if...

We too booked this hotel for last years Great North Run .. It was taken over by Andrew Singh ( he has written his own review of his own hotel in the review below ) and our booking was not only cancelled but he was extremely offensive . We also had to get a lawyer involved . Our advice is...

Luckily the hotel would not let me check in as my company had forgotten to provide card details. Upon arrival you are asked to provide your card details on a sheet of a4 paper! There was a couple in front of my rightly questioning if this was secure let alone legal. The sheets are kept under the front desk really...

The Clifton House Hotel was the perfect place for our meeting up with cousins in Newcastle this summer. It's a beautiful old home with lots of character. All three rooms we had were very comfortable. We were warmly welcomed, given lots of information on what to see in the area. The breakfast was amazing. We already decided that if we...

I have been in Clifton House just for a night, for a business commitment but the treatment have been amazing: good quality of the room and good furniture, the day after the breakfast have been served in a magnificent wide room, with a perfect service. Amazing the kindness of the Owners, mainly Mrs Caterina, the one who managed my stay...

I stayed with Catarina and John for a few days whilst on business in Newcastle. The area is peaceful and quiet, with good parking in the grounds. John's cooked breakfast were great and nothing was too much trouble. It must be remembered that the costs of a stay is very reasonable but I would stay here and pay a fair...

Nice elderly house in a quiet neigbourhood within walking distance of the town centre. Comfortable, spacious room and good private parking. Hostess welcomed us and gave us map and tips on what to see in town and how to get there.
