Stopped here last night after deciding on a last minute weekend away. The hotel was reasonably priced and in a good location. Once we arrived the staff was very friendly although that's the best thing I can say for this place I'd rather pay more and stop elsewhere. The room was cold, dated and in need of a major revamp....

First trip to Newcastle, booked Hotel online as it originally came up cheaper than the Travel Inn for one night. Then we opted to travel up a day early so added Friday night which did not make it such a great deal. However great location, private parking across the road - £ 7 a night. Hotel is tired and I...

Stayed here three nights. Centrally located reasonably priced hotel on the river Tyne. Rooms are comfortable, if a bit small, but that is typical for this market. Better than average showers. A bit dinghy, especially in the hall ways. One bonus is the very nice breakfast at Long Record Cafe downstairs. WiFi was a bit shaky on our first night,...

Stayed one night as had tickets for the Arena .... Great location as only walking distance to the concert. The staff were just lovely, genuine Geordie girls who couldn't do more to help. The makings are all there for a very comfortable hotel and all that needs doing is for the powers that be to spend a little time and...

We had a two night stay here. It wasn't the best three star hotel I've stayed in: uncomfortable bed, thin walls, tired decor and faint smell of stale cigarettes HOWEVER the staff were all fantastic, the breakfast in the cafe was great and the location is brilliant right on the river and surrounded by places to eat and drink. Fine...

My husband and I stayed here last night as we were going to a gig in Newcastle. We were going to book the Travel lodge but spotted this on a last minute 'secret deal' (it wasn't very secret, we guessed easily which hotel it was from the description) for slightly less and in a better location. We paid £45 room...

Centrally located close to one of the many bridges in Newcastle. The hotel is quite old style but clean. Very friendly and helpful receptionist that even fixed breakfast in the restaurant below at 6 in the morning so i would catch my train. A 3 star hotel but very cosy as such.

We stayed in this hotel over the weekend as a last minute night out. On arrival it says there is on site car parking however we couldn't locate this. Receptionist was lovely and checked us in great and was exceptionally helpful. When we got to our room we were completely disappointed, the carpets were dirty, bed old and tatty, furniture...
