Stayed in room 110. Its a good size with bathroom and large shower. Yes there was a few stains on walls and carpets but nothing too much to make me want to change rooms. This room faces the carpark at the back so it was quiet at night. The hotel was ok but it would have been nice to see...

I was in town on business for one night and wanted something cheap but comfortable and needed to be central. The staff were friendly and helpful. room was clean, breakfast good for the price. Wouldn't stay with kids and over weekend as I can imaging the crowed will change but a mid week off season quick stop over, this is...

Wifi, lift, hot water and TV did not work, the bathroom door did not shut. There were dirty marks all over the radiator and skirting boards. After complaining we were told to wait for a hour for the hot water to work, we were waiting one hour and thirty minutes with no contact from the reception staff I went back...

Had a girls weekend away and stayed at Surtees. For the price, location is excellent. Less than ten minutes walk from Newcastle station. Its basic, clean with lovely big powerful showers. Breakfast is excellent with good service. When in Newcastle, will stay here again. Ask for a room not facing the main road as it can be noisy.

Ooh, where will I start?? Firstly, the fact that they take £50 per person damage deposit is ridiculous. Not even a card number that can be charged if necessary but an actual payment that you're expected to wait 5 days to get back if you pay it on a card. We all felt we had no choice to pay by...

We stayed in the hotel for 2 nights. Great location 5-10 minute walk to central station and shopping centre. In terms of the room you get what you paid for very basic. Most of the staff were very friendly especially "Summer" who couldn't do enough for us! Breakfast in the hotel was a small bit over priced but it's optional....

Great location, within walking distance to the shops and restaurants. The room we stayed in was a great size with a lot of space. It did however get cold especially at night as it didn't appear the radiator was on. For the price of the room being quite cheap compared to other hotels around it and the location of the...

Went for a 'hen doo' two night stay. Hotel not suitable for anyone with mobility problems or even asthma. Access up some steep stairs and lift was out of order as mentioned on a previous post. Perhaps it is always out. Be aware when arriving they expect a 50.00 damage deposit per person and room paid in advance before you...

Comfortable, spacious room (room9) ...the decor is a little tired but bed and room needs all met. Access to bath taps, plug and general use was a definite challenge as the glass shower screen was solid and couldn't be moved for worry it might break!! We both slept well but the windows could do with secondary glazing to help minimize...

Booked here without checking reviews - oops! Upon arrival; the hotel is dirty, scruffy looking and generally untidy and unkept. The receptionist wasn't remotely friendly and didn't seem to have any pride in her job. Lift was out of order, so went to the room,we had requested extra large double bed. The bed we got was a 3/4 bed, with...
