We had a very nice stay. Our room was very clean and comfortable but a little small. It was ok for one night but any longer and would have wanted a bit more room. We had a drink in the bar which was nice. It was very lively and noisy in the bar later and I was worried it would...

I stayed here last night, very reasonable, the rooms have been done out with a lot of thought and nice touches. Good bed, TV, wifi, desk to work on, iron in the room ( no ringing for one) Bathroom with a large shower with rainfall effect- this was a Classic double I didn't eat in the evening, but I had...

Lovely clean, modern yet stylish and quirky hotel. We stayed for one night in a cosy double which was perfect for myself and my husband. The bed was very comfy could have stayed in it all day! The hotel has a car park at the rear free of charge which was handy as parking on the road is quite limited....

I booked a non-refundable double room (terms of which I've never disputed!). Due to a pregnancy-related illness I couldn't attend and called the hotel. A very understanding staff member told me not to worry and wished me well- saying I would receive a full refund in these circumstances. Then followed a two month phone/email saga! After noting I hadn't been...

Dear H I am glad that we have now resolved this issue, and you have accepted my apologies for the inconvenience caused which was due to a breakdown in communication. I am delighted that you will be returning to the hotel later in the year and look forward to welcoming you back.

My son and husband were going on a rugby trip to Newcastle so my daughter aged 8 and I decided we should go shopping. I had spent ages looking for a hotel that was close enough to the shops but not full of stag and hen weekends.Another big plus point was the restaurant menu on line was offering many gluten...

The room we had was clean and tidy, how they could class it as a king size is beyond me, it was bijoux and compact. There is no lift, so we had to go up and down four flights of stairs. The continental breakfast was alright, and the hotel staff were helpful enough.

Stayed overnight on good Friday 2017, hotel was very accommodating allowing us to check in one room early so we could change after our journey to go to the races. Positives ..... The Cairn is in a good location in Jesmond close to bars and restaurants, rooms are modern not overly spacious but big enough to meet your needs, bathroom...

We wanted a hotel in Jesmond close to the student house where our son is living and found this one. We were not the least bit disappointed. The staff are extremely friendly and the room was very clean. I had the best nights sleep I have had in a hotel for a long time. The continental breakfast was very nice....

We arrived and were immediately told that we were upgraded free of charge. Bonus! The room was excellent. Spacious, comfy bed, huge television, iron and ironing board provided, mini-fridge, kettle and tea provided. The bathroom spoke volumes, with a huge walk in shower with a towel heater that kept the whole room to a comfortable temperature. Very clean I might...

I walked in without a booking, (as the hotel I had been booked into for a stag weekend was an absolute disgrace). I was greeted by extremely helpful and friendly staff, who managed to make a few changes to accommodate me for the weekend. Admittedly I was staying in the large king room at the top of the hotel, but...
