booked this hotel and it was better than I imagined it would be. Lovely old building, staff were excellent. Nice touch with the fridge in the room with water, chocolate and orange juice (no wine as in other reviews...but still good) The swimming pool was a bit weird having to go out of the hotel and across the road but...

My boyfriend and I stayed in this hotel for my birthday. Parking is limited to a few spaces out front and a few in the back of the hotel. Check in was lovely and the staff was great! The room was slightly dated but had complementary sweets and water daily in the mini fridge. Just as a note there is...

We stayed one night on the way to Cragside in Rothbury from Canada through Manchester and Newcastle via train. The room was clean, large and comfortable. The staff was very helpful. The hotel was located close to the train station, the rental car agency, church and restaurants. Would stay again if I were doing the same trip.

We stayed for one night in room 111 in May The hotel is situated right next door to Central Station so is perfectly situated for shopping, restaurants and bars. With a long history, this is a classic hotel with impressive decor in the public areas. We were welcomed professionally at check in and we were given info on a 2...

We booked into the Royal Station Hotel for one nights stay. The staff were very helpful and the hotel was excellent. We parked at the hotel. The room was ideal for one night. We went back to the hotel bar after seeing Micky Flanagan. Drinks were reasonably priced and the bar staff could not do enough for us. Would highly...

I travel with work a lot, and staying in this hotel is a welcome change from the generic insides of a Novotel or Radisson etc. It's a beautiful, historic building. The staff are always very friendly and helpful. Also, the small bottle of wine, bottles of water and cartons of juice in the room are most welcome!

I recently spent three nights in Newcastle for a reunion of several friends. The hotel is adjacent to the Central station, and there is direct undercover access to the Hotel. The reception staff were excellent and most welcoming. The Hotel itself is good with an excellent restaurant. My room was on the the second floor, and was extremely spacious with...
