Had a Saturday-night stay here with the wife for her birthday, decent value at £126 for the two of us with breakfast in a superior room, and we got 2 free drinks vouchers when we checked in. Parking in the hotel's multi-storey was £9 for 24 hours, which was fine, and the room was nice enough. Seemed a shame not...

Yesterday I went to the restaurant for the second time in the last two months. I ordered the 'Moroccan Salad' which was awful and I wish I asked for my money back. I added extra halloumi when ordering (an option on the menu) and it came to around £10. A bit pricey for a salad, but not a shock as...

Sorry to read that your recent dining experience with regard to the Morocan Salad specification has been a disappointment, and that you have felt the need to rate the hotel at such a level over this matter. Food quality issues are rare here, with your experience by no means reflective of our normal standards in place. Best regards, Ken Ellington,...

Despite a nice view over the river and friendly staff, the hotel is very noisy with stag and hen parties. Can't open the windows and couldn't switch off the air conditioning which blew out hot air all night and made a racket. And struggled to get hot water.

Sorry to read that your recent stay has been a disappointing one. The 1st and 5th floor bedrooms have large windows, and the 2nd, 3rd and 4th floor bedrooms have 2 x small windows at the top of each side of the bay window area. Issues with hot water are very rare at the hotel. Best regards, Ken Ellington, General...

Upon late arrival, checked in and went to room, nice view over river. Wifi in room? NO, went for dinner which was nuked in microwave and returned. Wifi only available in meeting rooms or reception I was told? Reception staff smelt of really bad cigarette smoke, fridge motor going off in room but nothing in it, unplugged it. Ear plugs...

Thank you for your feedback. Sorry to read of the issues experienced during your stay, which are by no means reflective of the normal standards in place here. The point raised with the alarm has never occured before, as we have a (normally) highly robust system of daily checking by the housekeeping team for all areas in the room, both...

Stayed here after a concert at the Sage. Plenty of parking in the adjacent carpark and a good location for the town. As we'd been working our first port of call was the hotel bar. It's a good size and a nice open plan feel to it. The staff were excellent with our large group and were happy to let...

Stayed here on a business trip and the room was very nice, had a fridge with water! Had a dressing gown and slippers waiting on the bed. They have a very small gym but enough to do a work out in! The staff were very polite and friendly! I would recommend as it's very close to the city centre too!...

What a lovely hotel in a fabulous setting. Room has a river view. Very clean and tidy, has everything that you need in the room. We also used the restaurant for our evening meal and the menu was good and reasonably priced. Brilliant location as you're not far from other bars and restaurants and small shops. And the city central...

A good Sunday lunch. The lady who I presume is the manager was very hard. I would not like to cross her. She didn't lend to a good eating experience. The other servers were nice and tried hard. Good food at a good price. Fast and efficient service. Worth a try just don't cross the hard nut of the manager...
