It has all the ingredients to be great but that is a step away. We had a spa treatment booked in the following afternoon and requested an hour late, to 12 checkout. Receptionist had to check with someone an we were later informed would be £10 extra. We were also told we couldn't order next day newspapers. The Austin room...

I had a two night spa break with a friend from 2-4 Jan 2017 and although we enjoyed it, nothing appears properly joined up at this hotel. The first thing to note is that there is a LOT of refurbishment going on at the moment. This started in earnest on the day we left and I would have been very...

Just back from the New Year Party at the Lythe Hill Hotel. Mostly good reviews from our large party. The one gripe was the lack of a lounge area, being in a party of ten, there was nowhere to gather and have a drink or just sit and chat. The rooms were large and warm, our bathroom could have done...

My husband and I went for a spa break just after Christmas and had a fantastic time. The spa facilities are lovely... nice and relaxing! Had a massage which was fabulous. Our room was immaculate and just gorgeous. The bed was huge and we had a good view of the lake. Included in our package was dinner at the restaurant....

The Lythe Hill Farm has been around for centuries, and some of the original buildings on this site date back to the 13th Century - it's been a hotel for over 100yrs, renovated a few times - and more recently it's new owner has embarked on some fresh interior decor, and a clean up of the grounds. The main bulk...

Recently stayed at the hotel while visiting family in the area. Did not get to use the spa facilities as we arrived to late, and could not explore the grounds as the weather wasn't good, which was a shame as it looked very nice. Room was compact and bed very comfortable. Room was dusty in places and paint could do...

Always meet my parents for boxing day lunch and we like to meet halfway. Can be tricky choosing somewhere you know nothing about. Glad I didn't read the last few reviews before we booked it as we would have missed out on this fantastic location and lovely relaxed dining experience. 3 course lunch was fantastic, tasty food and nice sized...

Stayed for a two day Christmas break. Really concerned about previous reviews but went with an open mind. Have to say staff really pleasant especially the young girls on reception. Recent refurbished rooms very nice, however everyone complained about the heat , even with radiators turned off it was excessive. All food was buffet style which was ok apart from...

Thank you for your feedback which I will pass onto my team. I have looked into the excessive heat and I am continuing to do so, As you said the heating was not on so I am struggling to find where this heat was coming from. I have recorded the temperture of the rooms and corridor to be at 21...
