We booked a luxury lodge tent here after cancelling our honeymoon in France due to the pandemic and I am glad that we did! We could not fault one part of our stay. Excellent facilities, beautiful location and helpful hosts. We booked the tent with electricity and wifi as it was our first time glamping with our 2 year old daughter and it was perfect. The tent was cosy, the kitchen did everything we needed, the shower was hot and strong and the whole place was clean and tidy. The recommendations were also perfect for us, we all thoroughly enjoyed every part of our stay, both on and off site.
This really is the perfect get away. Perfect location and perfect accommodation! We stayed in Gypsy's rest which comes with Shepherds Hut. Gypsy rest was perfect for the 2 of us, plenty of room. The bed is wonderful. The pantry shop is excellent. The grounds are stunning, we did all the walks on the site, North walk, East walk and the walk to Boluge Church, you dont really need to leave the campsite as it's so big (115 acres). We did walk to the closest pub, which across the fields is a lovely walk. Can't recommend this wonderful place highly enough, we are already planning dates to go back.
We have never glamped before but definitely will again and very likely at Secret Meadows. There are 7 units in a large nature reserve/farm so all have their own space so while you see others who stay there you are never fighting for room. All units are different and we had the one with Wifi and electricity - a very comfy all mod-cons unit which sleeps 6 - four poster double, bunk beds and a quirky cupboard bedroom with a double in it. Each unit has its own shower and toilet cabins which were spotless on arrival. It also had a decking area out the front as well as a swing, hammock (very popular with our 3 children) and a BBQ/wood burner. Locally sourced provisions are provided in 'The Pantry' and, although we didn't use it there is also a wood shed. Both are honesty boxes and combination locked with anti-bac dispenser at the door. The surrounding grounds are beautiful - we only took a walk around on the day we were leaving but will explore it more when we return for another stay. Plenty of amazing places to drive to from there - Woodbridge is nice and we had a great meal at the Red Lion on the night we had arrived. We visited the beaches at Southwold and Felixstowe, went crabbing at Warbleswick, spent a morning at Snape Maltings and visited Martlesham Heath sir tower museum as my Dad was stationed there when younger. The owners were great and helped whenever we had any questions - I can't praise them, the site or the holiday enough and we will definitely be back. I have rated a couple of things 'not sure' simply because they are not applicable to this type of accomodation.…
Our first trip away post lockdown and it as amazing. We’ve visited before as a large group of 4 families and this time was just as good. Great accommodation, safe environment for the kids and dogs to run free. Cannot recommend highly enough
This is our 3rd visit to the peaceful perfection that is Secret Meadows. This time we came in October, rather than Jul/Aug and also changed from our usual Lodge tent accommodation. We chose Gypsys Rest, a shepherds hut and gypsy caravan combination. Whilst understandably having less room, the same high standards and meticulous attention to detail remains. Our friends stayed in the Hobbit Box and they were impressed with the layout and absolutely loved the private meadow location. We did a little more exploring this time around, saw some Deer and a Hare on the northern nature trail. Our daughter enjoyed her 3rd time looking after 'Peck' and 'Cluck' the chickens and was rewarded with 4 eggs. Thank you Ross and Charlotte for an unforgettable relaxing weekend.
