The Best Western Heath Court Hotel garners high marks for its array of amenities, including top-notch bedding and a complimentary breakfast that guests enjoy before setting out to explore Newmarket. Its prime location near the gallops and high street is a highlight for guests. The hotel's cleanliness and the friendly, professional service provided by the staff also earn rave reviews.
While the rooms are commended for their comfort and spaciousness, a few guests have noted some concerns regarding accessibility and size. Overall, the hotel is considered a good value for the experience it offers.

Detailed Reviews
Great location right in town but still secluded enough to have a peaceful nights sleep.
Room was huge with separate seating area and a large screen TV. The bathroom was very well equipped with everything you could need for an overnight stay.
Because the room was large it took a while to heat up on a not too cold winters day.
Breakfast was cooked to order and was tasty. Staff were friendly and attentive.
Impressed with this hotel. It is worthy of four stars in my opinion.

Clean, all the basics, conveniently situated, helpful staff. Pleasant dining room and breakfast.
The bedrooms are small and I suggest they lose the oversized office chair which really isn’t needed as the small stool in the room is perfectly adequate. It was completely unsuited to the room.
Weird light switches I never really got the hang of. The pump in the bathroom cupboard is very noisy when it starts up after a shower.
A pet hate is those plastic hangers which you have to feed into a fixed metal hoop to use. So faffy!

The hotel offered a comfortable room very centrally placed. The parking was a bonus in such a central position. The staff were welcoming and efficient. It was great to see the horses on the Heath every morning with a short walk to view the gallops. The reception were particularly helpful with regard to the delivery of an urgent piece of mail, even taking the time to call me whilst out to let me know it had arrived safely. I ate dinner in the restaurant and the food was good with large portions. I stayed on the night of a racecourse music event and the hotel was full. There was no noise disturbance even with my room being one of the ones with a corridor window. I would stay here again.

I stayed one night at Heath Court Hotel and couldn't have received a warmer welcome. The staff genuinely couldn't do enough for me (and my 7 colleagues also staying). They organised and perfectly executed an early breakfast which was up there with top end hotels. As a tea drinker I can say the loose leaf breakfast and also the Moroccan mint were lovely. Lovely warm pastries, smoothies available and a great choice of hot breakfasts.
The sleep quality was good, rooms were spacious and the shower was hot and powerful.
A few of us also had dinner at the hotel, I sampled the Haloumi and Mango salad which was delicious and two other colleagues had the fish and chips. Clear plates all around.
If I need to visit Newmarket again for work or pleasure, I'll be booking the best Western again 100%

I stayed here for about 20 days and I loved it. The hotel staff is very attentive and will fix problems if you bring it up to them very professionally. I usually did a lot of work where I would come in like at 2:00 in the morning and it was great to have a friendly face Screech you when they open the door by the way thank you Jacob for putting up with us with our work schedule. The internet is good if you have to use VPN so that was a big plus for us and of course they have breakfast and dinner but I like the location because it is perfect for experience the town of New Market with all the horse racing and shops and restaurants

First rate hotel. Stayed two nights whilst visiting Newmarket. Great location, very nice superior room, excellent service, lovely food and good value. We booked direct by telephone which gave us a 20% discount on all food and drink which was very reasonably priced in any event!

Omg this is the worst hotel I ever stayed in.
When booking, I asked if they had a accessible room as I was travelling with a wheel chair user they said they do not have any rooms with a walk in shower but I was assured that there would not be a problem getting around the hotel.
We were on the 1st floor and had to use the lift. There was not enough space for The wheel chair and another person, or to turn the wheelchair around in the lift. I had to take the stairs. The corridors were narrow and dimly lit. The entrance to the room was very narrow with sharp corners, again making it difficult to move and had a step to get into the room not very wheelchair friendly at all. This made it very uncomfortable and difficult to get into the room.
It's not a great start. This is not a wheelchair friendly hotel for guests with any physical disabilities. If the person I was travelling with was a solo travler, it would have been impossible for them to negotiate the lift and get into their room.

I have been bringing a group to this hotel most years since 2009. We love it. It is like a family run hotel. The staff treat us like old friends. The food is excellent. You won't find a better breakfast. The location is quiet and perfect for viewing horses on the Gallups

Ive been a few times over the last couple of years and i cant rate this place highly enough. All top notch ! The room always spotless clean, the staff are so hard working, friendly, always got a smile. The breakfast is the best in Newmarket and location ideal for the races and seeing the lovely horses train in the morning on the gallops.

Ex Cleethorpes Man asked a question Sept 2019
Dursley, United Kingdom270 contributions152 helpful votesIs parking suitable for a valuable classic car?
Our car park is off the main road and we have not had any issues in the past. However, we cannot accept any responsibility or liability for any vehicles or possessions left in the car park.
Some of our superior bedrooms do overlook the parking spaces.
Not sure but if you call the hotel they may be able to help.
Hi Simon, Check-in is from 2.00pm and Check-out is 11.00am. Should rooms be available earlier you would be able to Check-in before 2.00pm.
I am unsure as to what rates you are looking at, we sell both Room Only and B&B rates.
If you go to bestwestern co uk you will be able to select a B&B rate, there is also the option to become a Rewards Member (if you are not already) and this will enable you toobtain further discounts.
