Stayed for one night and had a lovely meal - food was excellent. Staff were extremely friendly & helpful. Harley our little dog was warmly welcome and given his own sausage for breakfast. English breakfast was fantastic. Room was extremely comfortable. The location is beautiful too, gorgeous old market square with amazing buildings. Will be staying again. Well worth a...

Well situated for visiting a few National Trust properties. Clean, comfortable rooms. The dinner menu is a little restrictive, however, the food we did order was very nice and excellent value for money. The young staff were very efficient and friendly.

Stayed 4 nights in March. New owner had only taken over 5 weeks previously and has made improvements which will continue as he is on the ball and keen to have a first class establishment. Its a medieval building oozing character so bedroom floors etc slope and there are conservation restrictions. However the bed was large and very comfortable. The...

Stayed here for two nights with friends, dinner, b&b - extremely good value. As has previously been reported, all parking in Lavenham is free but we had difficulty finding somewhere to park when we first arrived and were extremely lucky to get a spot in the tiny car park behind the hotel (someone was just leaving). However, moved the car...

We were staying at the Angel along with a lot of our family after attending a wedding nearby. We had lunch before we all got dressed which was lovely. The room for my family of 2 adults 2 children was perfect. The following morning all 15 of us had breakfast which was great too. The staff were all so obliging...

We called in here for a mid-morning coffee with our dog and were made very welcome by all the staff. Coffee was good with free refills, and lounge seating was very comfortable. Only thing missing was a toasted teacake but we don't really expect this in pubs.

We have stayed here twice recently. The hotel is situated on the market square in the centre of this wonderful picturesque village. There is no car park, but we have always found free parking in the market place. The hotel is old and quirky and the rooms comfortable and clean, although some of the bathrooms are tired and could do...

We popped in for lunch today, just some sandwiches, soup and a burger but ended up waiting an hour for it to arrive. Although it was a frustrating wait with a 2 year old, the staff dealt with it well, regularly apologised for the delay and reduced the bill appropriately without question which made up for it. When the food...

In the centre of this Medieval market town is this charming hotel. The staff are welcoming, friendly and attentive and the food is excellent. The room is clean and a decent size with a comfortable bed and everything we needed. Tea, coffee and posh biscuits topped up daily, the shower worked well and posh toiletries were provided. The atmosphere in...

The board outside advertises that you can get a Breakfast between 8am-10am. But when you go inside it is really 7.30-9.30. Guess what ? We were 9.30. What a shame I never got a chance to find out what the food was like.
