We stayed here last month for 2 nights, in the converted coach house. The Old Rectory itself is a grand building and set in extensive grounds with a tennis court and small swimming pool. The location is beautiful and very close to Lavenham which is lovely and has some smart eating places. It is fairly expensive for what you get...

Stayed for just one night and it was a charming experience. Beautiful hotel and grounds and small swimming pool for guest use. Large bedroom and ensuite, good quality towels and bathrobes provided. The Old Rectory did not do dinner, but there is no shortage of good restaurants in the area. This was a most enjoyable stay and merits further visits.

You really feel you are guests in a family home. The main house is very comfortable and spacious. Whilst our bathroom was dated it was large, well appointed with everything we could have wanted. The breakfast is very good and a range of daily papers are supplied. Tom was very welcoming and ensured our stay was very enjoyable. It would...

PERFECT! The best place you could ever find for a romantic getaway. (Gentlemen please note) The Coach House suite is separate from the main, beautifully furnished house, and is an oasis of calm. It looks out onto a lovely English walled garden with lavenders, allium, and roses set in low box hedges, where you can walk and lounge at will....

Enjoying UK's old town with the most preserved medieval cottages, it felt like we were in a different era, walking through the town was just nostalgic. The stop at the Hovis bread shop was amazing, the staff were all old and they spend talking with their customer, we were third jn the queue but we waited for 15mins. The different...

The Old Rectory has lovely rooms in the main house which are quiet as the house is set back from the road with a beautiful view of the historic church across the street. Our hostess was both charming and helpful. She made dinner reservations at two excellent local restaurants. The breakfasts were delicious served in a lovely room with views...

I found this wonderful place online but the website was showing no availability on the dates I wanted, but on phoning, the wonderful lady on the other end of the phone told me the dates were in fact bookable - lesson to be learnt, always ring and enquire! Well worth it as is was absolutely lovely -definitely not a corporate...

My husband booked a surprise trip to Lavenham, for my birthday, in the Old Rectory. Being more of a practical person than a romantic, it was great to find he had booked us in such a wonderful place. I can truly say i couldn't have found anywhere better to stay. The accommodation was excellent, staff were very friendly and Susie...

This was our first introduction to Suffolk and all its charms and we were blessed with glorious weather. We had two wonderful nights in the Gainsborough room which was very clean and spacious with great views of the garden and the beautiful church in front of the rectory. The bed was extremely comfortable and this made it difficult to get...

We stayed here for a night in early March and had one of the suites in which to indulge ourselves in all things luxurious! The standard of finish is exquisite and the owners have an exceptional eye for detail with quality of service high on their list of priorities. Both the main building and the suites offer a level of...
