What a great place for a weekend away. A fabulous warm welcome and all of the staff were lovely. We had room 6 which is upstairs. A large bed, underfloor heating, big bath and a nice shower too. Easy parking right outside the door. Great breakfast and a fine Sunday lunch too. We will be back.

The is one of the Old English Inns group owned by Greene King. We stayed for three days whilst visiting family. Our greeting was fantastic with very helpful and professional staff. The large bedroom was a delight and was well equipped we particularly liked the fact that the bathroom actually had a worthwhile shelf - unlike the vast majority of...

Well, I thought it time I gave praise, again, to this marvellous pub / restaurant. This is quite local to where my wife and I live and very accommodating, as when the weather is nice I wheel her down in her wheelchair. The "Green King " menu is changed several times a year and we do exhaust it a bit...

I can't believe we just fed 2 adults 3 kids with drinks for £46 absolutely fantastic food, huge jam packed sandwiches and the curry buffet could easily feed 2. Kids meals were just right the right size and well presented. Definitely recommend

We went as a group of eight, everyone was happy with a first class meal and good service all at a reasonable price. I had the ultimate fish and chips, not just plaice but deep fried scampi and prawns as well.

Our welcome to this pub was very friendly indeed, the staff were wonderful and so helpful and fun. One of our group required gluten free food and they provided a separate menu for her! The food came in good sized portions and was very tasty! We will definitely be coming back!

Had a impromptu lunch with family this afternoon. Really nice food and great service, friendly and prompt. Nice decoration and a lovely warm fire, nice and cosy. We were really made to feel welcome by all the staff.

We arrived without booking on a Thursday... we managed to get parking without difficulty. The restaurant was full & there was a real buzz about the place....we were offered the only remaining table, by the very pleasant manager. The food was wonderful, cooked to perfection & piping hot ...The service was good despite being busy. We couldn't fault the experience....
