Late Sunday afternoon family booking. Stood at bar on entering, totally ignored by three staff until a later customer was served before me. Sat down, told by waitress that 2 out of 3 of the Sunday roast options were not available, not a great result for a booking only halfway through the serving day. Waitress left, we waited ages for...

We visited in March 2015 for our annual family reunion and were very impressed with this establishment, ably run by the former manager Gemma. They say never go back and we probably shouldn't have. The evening meals were very good breakfasts not good at all. No attention to detail, although as soon as staff were asked to address any issues...

We decided to pop in to the D & P on a Wednesday evening for dinner not thinking we would need to book in advance. We received a friendly enough greeting from the girl behind the bar but when we ordered pre dinner cocktails we were informed there was no ice. Hmm a bar with no ice, we should have...

Once again 'Ye Olde Dog & Partridge' Restaurant lived up to expectations during our visit in May. Being quintessentially English, this black & white building with it's old wooden beamed dining areas has a very friendly, cosy, feel. As always the Restaurant Staff were attentive, helpful & friendly & our food & wine were to the usual good standard. Thoroughly...

We stayed two nights in a family room (we stayed in Room 5: it had a king sized bed and sofa bed) The room was big enough for the 3 of us with a good sized bathroom. The bedrooms are well equipped with tea/ coffee making facilities, hair dryer, iron etc. The hotel part was excellent. As the hotel dates...

Stayed 1 night here, check in was extremely slow with one member of staff trying to do everthing (serve bar, take another guest to his room etc) and when we were checked in felt a little pressured to make a booking for the restaurant for an evening meal but other than this the room was gorgeous all oak beams huge...

Reasonably priced menu with a reasonable but limited range of Gluten Free options. Staff were very helpful and pleasant, but could possibly do with a few more as the service was slow. We had the 9oz rump steak option with a bottle of wine, on a £24 voucher, which was very good value for money and a saving of nearly...

We booked four rooms in the hotel for a close family gathering after a nearby funeral. We were all very impressed with the service and overall feel of the hotel, the bar being vibrant on the Friday evening. I would happily recommend both bar & hotel, and plan to return with my wife at some stage to use the hotel...

We stayed in the Dog and Partridge for one night whilst we were visiting nearby Branston. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were very spacious and the bed was comfortable. The room was clean and tidy. Towels were good quality. We had an evening meal which was very reasonable and the food was very good. We also...
