Was looking around Cheadle for accommodation. Pulled into car park to drop off my colleague before pulling back o to the road and parking up elsewhere. Some bloke, who obviously had something to do with the place came over and literally berated me for using it as a dropping-off point. Think he must have been trained by Basil Fawlty! Needless to say, we removed the 'manor' as a contender for our business budget, which, from a travel point of view, runs to over £1000 p.a. across the U.K. Still, their loss our gain. Try harder.
Excellent place to stay very quiet and clean breakfast is very nice and the garden is lovely to sit in when the sun is out louds of fish in the pond and a nice little village to walk around louds of restaurants to pick from
Regular visitor to Alton Towers with my other half and this is without doubt one of if not the best place to stay. Very good reception by welcoming and friendly staff. Spacious and cosy rooms with everything you would need for a short stay detached from main manor house building for an extra sense of privacy which is perfect. Amazing breakfasts full english, eggs Benedict etc. A short distance from Alton Towers, although there are other cheaper or closer alternatives you could stay at after trying a majority I always came away wishing I stayed here instead hence this being my 3rd returning visit. Although they no longer serve evening meals there are a selection of good places to eat within walking distance (Weatherspoons my fave). Some of the poor reviews I feel do not accurately reflect this establishment as I have always had a fantastic experience. …
We arrived at the Manor Guest house late afternoon and were greeted very warmly by Peter who runs the Manor with his wife, Peter took us to our rooms which were side by side and very nice looking towards their lovely garden complete with a fish pond, which the children loved, quire plain decor in the rooms but very neat, clean.& comfortable. After we had unpacked we sat at one of the tables and chairs provided to the side of the garden for a drink, this area was very nice & very welcome after a full day out. The following morning we went in for breakfast and were greeted by some of Peters staff who were excellent & so friendly, there was lots of side elements to pick from i.e. pancakes, cereal, juices, fresh fruit Etc we ordered from the great breakfast menu on offer & were delighted when the breakfast arrived it was all spot on & the girls kept checking if there was anything we needed, extra toast, tea, coffee Etc, Peter cooks the breakfast, it is a credit to him. if we are back in the area this is where we would stay excellent, thank you Peter for being such a great host, I must apologise for my young Granddaughter packing some of your toiletries into her holiday bag when leaving LOL.…
