Even in Covid Premier gives what you expect....comfortable bed, ensuite shower, TV and coffee/tea etc. Around the building things have changed no communal areas/chairs and bar closed. As I have stayed for 2 nights I have had the need to eat. With all eat in closed the staff agreed I could take food back yo the room. With a short drive there us a choice of most food types. At present price of room is very competitive around £35 per night. We can even claim a room with a view (see below). Hotel a few hundred yards from Trentham Gardens, ideal when more fully open in normal times. Staff are polite and helpful
Hi spent three days here 109 what a room big big. Posh need to ask for this room work away from home a lot best room ever staff very good friendly. And good got. Service in restaurant so very happy with this one
Stayed 2 nights while visiting alton towers. Surprisingly the bedchamber so gard that it was uncomfortable. No other rooms so staff did their best and provided a second duvet for a bit more comfort... didn't really help though. The walls and doors are VERY thin and every word of conversation in next rooms are audible. The bathroom door is frosted glass!?!?!?!? And doesbt lock, infact it doesn't even close! ! Oh and the bathroom basin isn't in the bathroom.. its in the room??? The breakfast was extremely bland too. By the time we left I was too tired to even argue and I for got to ask for a refund! It only gets a 3 star because the staff were friendly and did their best to help.
We have just returned from two nights staying in a family room, two adults one child. The room was perfect, plenty of space, nice and clean. The shower which included a seat was amazing, after a long day at Alton towers I was able to sit back and relax in my own little steam room. The customer service was great, ALL the staff were amazing especially Jess on reception. The breakfast was also good, plenty to choose from both hot and cold. The location is great, a we enjoyed walking around the grounds and the shopping village which is a 3 min walk. Alton towers is a 30min drive. Today we also visited the Monkey Forest (5min drive from hotel) such a brilliant experience, 140 monkeys roaming free. We would definitely return to this hotel.
I enjoyed a good nights sleep in a comfortable room. Good Covid measures in place. Limited menu available in the evening. Breakfast was good, particularly the porridge. Staff were friendly and polite. Would certainly stay again.
