I adore this place, beautiful building with a cosy warm interior perfect for a romantic evening. Treated my other half to our favourite bottle of red, a Camembert shared starter and two steaks for main! Couldn’t fault it, it was delicious. Lovely waitress too! When you take into account the food quality and the beauty of the building it makes the cost of the bill seem reasonable. It’s definitely a treat night out. I visited here the last night before the second lockdown 😄
Went for lunch, for hubby’s birthday today, with our son and everything was truly great. I firstly rang to enquire if i needed a booking as we wanted to attend on the day of me calling and i must say the customer service, over the phone from Jenny and the restaurant receptionist was so welcoming, customer focussed and extremely polite and courteous. Upon arriving at Weston Hall, we were immediately greeted with such a warm welcome and promptly shown our table. We felt very comfortable and it was a very Covid-Safe (space/cleanliness/mask on when being served) environment. We ordered off the A La Carte menu, but the set lunch menu was also made available (Afternoon Tea was served later and looked amazing so ine to try another time). My son thoroughly enjoyed his steak, hubby devoured his steak pie with much delight and my seabass was cooked to perrrfection. DESSERTs are a MUST - as the Lemon Tart is by far the best i have everrrr had, the creme brûlée is so velvety and the passion cheesecake was lovely. Lara our waitress was so lovely and certainly made our visit very personable. I highly recommend you visit either alone, as a couple, as a family or friends. The ambiance is so wonderful: came away feeling relaxed, chilled, happy and content. Keep doing what you are doing Weston Hall as your staff make the visit Simply the Best…
I cannot thank Jenny and the team at Weston hall enough for this truly special day. The start. This wedding was originally organised a year and a half ago for 90 day guests and 150 guests in total in the evening - ah pre covid days! The planning was underway and for this huge wedding Jenny was so helpful with order of the day, transparent costing, outlining when we would have food tasting and recommendations of entertainment and photographers. I have no doubt that if there was no pandemic my huge wedding would have go off without a hitch! The pandemic. Well I didn’t get my big wedding but that did not diminish the quality of service or the splendour of the day. Throughout the lockdown months Jenny was in constant contact with me keeping me up-to-date with new guidelines and offering solutions and suggestions to ensure my day could still go ahead and could still be as special. With every change Jenny was there to listen to my worries and crazy covid bride suggestions! The day. It makes me emotional still when I think about the beauty of the day. Each detail was in place from organising a stunning room for the bridal party the night before with excellent room service to the timings of the day. It ran so smoothly and nothing NOTHING was too much trouble. The food was delicious - the canapés and meal were of the highest quality and not just your average wedding food. Nothing about their service was average. If you have any questions about making a wedding special during a pandemic and if this review is not reassuring enough then just call them. Each member of staff will be happy to help because it genuinely feels as if they want you to have the best day. We did have the best day. We have no regrets and would not have done anything differently. Love Richard and Lucy…
We had our wedding here and it was absolutely perfect . The wedding team are fantastic and nothing was too much trouble for them. The food was amazing and all our guest commented on how lovely the food was. I cannot recommend Weston hall enough as a wedding venue. Thanks again , Louise and Sean
The place itself is a nice building, nice surrounding views - rooms are nice, aren’t filled with the normal items you’d expect - iron, ironing board and fridge all not in the room. Paid £119.00 for an okay room with terrible breakfast options. Mentions boiled eggs and toast - no boiled eggs present and 1 slice of white bread. When I got up to have another look to see what was going and see if I could find something, everything had be cleared away. No chance of me getting a breakfast this morning. I think it’ll have to be a McDonalds breakfast as they keep their breakfast on till 11, not 10am like these guys. Rest was yoghurts, croissants and bits of fruit. Breakfast here is terrible, my advice is look for a hotel that provides a cooked breakfast in the morning at least when paying over £100. To have to pay an additional breakfast cost when you’ve paid £119 is a joke. Will not be returning and do not think I’d ever recommend someone to stay here. Sorry but it’s just not good enough. …
