Have used Holiday Inn Express many times, but this was the first visit to Stafford. The room was very clean and comfortable, the service welcoming and efficient, excellent value for money. With the then covid restrictions, face coverings were mandatory in public areas. Breakfast was 'Grab and Go', with hot bacon or sausage baps, fresh fruit, cereals, juices, bread/toast, which you took to your room to eat. No vegan options, but this may have been provided on request. If available, try to get a room at the back of the Hotel, as building works at the front make it very noisy, unwelcome in the mornings. The Hotel is obviously doing its very best in difficult times, thanks to all.
This was my first stay at an IHG hotel since the Covid Lockdown, but.......but it was all good the moment I stepped through the door..........wonderfully spotlessly clean and sanitised, and lovely efficiency staff who could not do more for you.......every felt safe, and put your mind at ease. The room was equally spotless. The refurbished room was swish and looked so cosy......even the carpet was wonderfully bouncy! My only regret is that I didn't stay longer..........it was that good!
Stopped here overnight, room was very comfortable, large bed and staff very helpful, Covid safe environment and excellent breakfast bag and go idea. Free parking and direct access to the motorway. Pub/ restaurant on site.
Used this hotel as a stop-over as was heading to the North. Excellent value for money and very nice, clean rooms. Spacious bar and breakfast area. Free and easy parking. Good pub next door for meals and drinks. Very quick to get to from the M6. Highly Recommend.
. Pleasantly surprised with this holiday Inn hotel, for an excellent value stopover. The room is perfectly adequate, double bed and sofa-bed with an en-suite shower, the bed and pillows however were quite hard and that kept us awake for part of the night. Tea and coffee in the room is of a good, basic type, only limited initally, but we popped to reception and they were happy to give us more. Also, and I think importantly, if you've forgotten your toothbrush, they'll give you a travel one free of charge - I found this very useful! Other essential items are also available! TV reception was good and the WiFi was fine to download my morning paper onto my kindle. Breakfast, described upon arrival as 'continental' I would say was better described as a limited breakfast of bacon/sausage rolls and cereal, its not really a continental breakfast and the bacon baps were a bit cold. All in all a nice perfectly adequate stay. …
